"So... uh... you thought I may be freaked out because you're seeing someone who is... not a bird?" That would be awesome and perfect. My bet, though... Annie: "Freaked out?" Kat: "About me seeing Paz." Annie: "That would be terribly hypocritical. You haven't freaked out about me and Rey." Annie: *winks and thumbs up the fourth wall* *rimshot*

As much as Rey likes to play the wise counselor in wolf form, he's been cooped up in GKC for decades, and before that for many centuries his interactions were limited to the denizens of the forest and occasional visitors from the court. I very much doubt he has more then a cursory understanding of human culture outside the court cobbled together from what he has overheard. I think his advice that Annie might have "traditional" values was mostly speculation in reaction to Kat's fears. Despite he and Kat being the two creatures closest to Annie in the whole world neither of them guessed at the loneliness and fear of isolation that was really driving her insecurity which tells us a lot about how emotionally closed she can be about her vulnerability.

I love that clonk. Can we get more of that? That clonk really is perfect. I've resolved many a misunderstanding with a close friend with a good CLONK.

And this is where we find out that Annie isn't upset because Paz is, in fact, a cross-dressing boy. It was so obvious that everyone except Kat realized it. What a twist!

Glad to see that they talked through this. It might be possible that a psychopomp taught Annie to be indifferent to other people's relationships.

He came to the forests centuries ago with Coyote and from what we know it doesn't seem like he had much to do with Humans while he was hanging with Coyote.

I'm pretty sure Annie's puzzlement is along the lines of "Why would anyone worry about that?" She's not oblivious to the idea of romantic pairings, she's just not all that interested in them, at least so far. Remember she thought that Parley and Smitty should just quit tiptoeing around their relationship, and then once it's resolved she's ready to move on ( Coward Heart).

No no no. It will go like this "Well, yeah, I kind of expected you were more into Gamma, but I understand that she's too tied to Zimmy. Would love you to steal her from that witch, though." Not expecting this, but if it would happen, I called it. Oh, and if there's a huge explosion and Robot comes along and says "Come with me if you want to live," I called it as well. You win. And this is where we find out that Annie isn't upset because Paz is, in fact, a cross-dressing boy. It was so obvious that everyone except Kat realized it. What a twist! Nono, a cross dressing bird! ...which is why Annie is not upset - "it's still between us avians..." Everything matches!

Yes, I think its Paz. The thought of Annie just popped up right when I see the alttext Also, requesting oppotunity of switching Kat and Paz hair. E: maybe Annie, too EE: throwing Jones in would be good As per request:

I get the feeling that Annie has no idea what Kat is talking about, here. There's THREE question marks. That's a sign of genuine confusion.
That, or Annie will say something insensitive about how everyone knows Kat is into girls and it will BLOW UP
I NEED CONFLICT

Well that's easy to achieve, go to a youtube video of anything in the "classic rock" genre and compare what's happening in the video to something about Justin Beiber.

I want to comment on the question marks. Because a long time ago I showed a similar reaction as she does now. Back then, my parents talked to me, mostly hypothetically at first, that some people we knew were homosexual. I was confused at first. It took me a while to understand what the problem was. They imparted that information slowly at first to see how I would react so that they would not alienate me and the friend of ours that they were talking about by outing him to a potential homophobe. As it is I did not understand at first what the problem is. Of cause I knew what homophobia is, but the thought that I or anybody I know would dislike homosexuals was just too strange to me at that time. (alas, this has changed: someone I know hates homosexuals, much to my surprise) Anyway, this led to a rather strange (and ultimately unnecessary) argument as to why this is indeed a problem, basically putting my parents in the argumentative position close to homophobes, which they aren't.

Originally, I thought the 'clonk' was just the sound of Annie resting her head against the metal door. Not until I came to the forums did I realize that it was actually both of them bonking heads together. I think the latter is actually quite sweet.

I'm pretty sure that it really is Annie's head clonking on the metal door. Either that or they're both in for a pretty nasty concussion. Their foreheads are touching, all right, but not quite that violently. In other news, I'm getting my first Christmas feels this year from this comic, even though it's not even themed.

Is Annie speaking in the first panel? I couldn't tell... although the statement could go both ways. Head bonking or not, I'm so happy to see them happy together!

I don't understand your question. My post is this way because... I don't know. He's asking what [REDACTED] is in reference to. Chances are, he mentioned the word 'Kat' - or some kind of other, subtle reference, such as 'black hair girl', and he's getting a second chance before Tom IP bans him. But dang Intelligence, you've got a hard life ahead of you on these here update threads. :/
