>I don't agree with something >I can't argue my point >Thus, the person is trolling me Solid logic >2015-(τ/π)>not knowing how to greentextI challenge you to show how my argument is incorrect. That's not how arguments work. You don't dare us to prove you wrong, you prove yourself right. If you can't even be bothered to find your own evidence to support whatever you're blowing out your ass, don't ever expect us to take you seriously.

I've been able to support every argument I've made. All you've brought to the table are appeals to emotion and personal attacks.
Pretty much what's to be expected when someone comes and jostles your hugbox.

I've been able to support every argument I've made. As well as dismiss, ignore, or provide non sequiturs & red herrings (that aren't worth bringing up nor elaborating on because your position is so very transparent on this matter) in response to criticisms, counter-arguments, or reminders of the forum's policies. Clearly the mark of both intellectual honesty and sincere interest in the subject matter! I feel like I'm in the comment section of Youtube already! Pretty much what's to be expected when someone comes and jostles your hugbox. You see all antagonism is both retroactively justified as well as a productive conversational piece when people try to tell me that intentional antagonism is not treated as the default assumption of the particular internet communication that I am engaging in! I'm glad you're having fun saying things about how people have said things to you, would you like to say more things?

Also whenever there's trolling going on I just start picturing a bunch of treasure trolls keyboard smashing. Just me? Am I dating myself here?

Also a lot of projection, the bully's tool of choice (jostling hugboxes being the intention).

To reiterate then Tom could have and should have done better, Rey is acting out of character by using statements that are demonstrably untrue. That his speech is supposed to be inspirational is beside the point, when a character is suddenly using such poor rhetoric it takes the reader out of the experience and it becomes painfully obvious they're just being used as a mouthpiece for the author.

I don't think your points are either validated or undermined by being presented so obnoxiously, what I'd like to know is why one would go out of one's way to be perceived as a dick.

Uh... Poop. Argument. So... Maybe its just me, but I didn't find Renard too out of character. He tends to be more serious in that form, and showed more interest for the important things. Like when he was asking Kat about how Annie was. But its probably just me.

OK. An argument. Not, to me, a very convincing one. I don't think Rey is acting out of character because I have never thought of him as incapable of uttering a logical falsehood. He is bound to Annie (not Kat) so that he can't lie to her if pressed but, like Coyote, he's certainly capable of twisting things. Also, the context of this 'untruth' is hardly devastating. So, without that conviction, your conclusion falls flat.

Why is everyone posting in green all of a sudden? Is this an internet meme thingy I'm not up to date on?
Also can people please stop it. This guy is responding to the insults and, uh, nothing else that is actually relevant except for re-stating his point once everyone else gets bored with it.
Seriously people, we have 2 more days till the next update, let's spend it on more constructive posts, such as the one about the metric system, or the one on how gay people need to flag themselves up to everyone in the area before they come out.

Ah yes. Slavish adherence to the imperial system has downed at least one space probe. I can also recall another project which insisted on distance to be expressed in nautical miles, and altitude in feet. Then change in wind speed with altitude was to be expressed in knots/km.
(Polite queries as to whether they meant knots/ 1000 ft were dismissed)

It's quite goddamn pathetic to see the infantile lengths to which some of you will go to defend the heavy handedness of a speech on how humans react with hostility to those challenging societal norms when that's exactly how you react when someone challenges your societal norms

However, there is only one person (real or fictional) involved in this discussion that I consider to have been infantile OR heavy-handed.

(sigh) To Intelligence: you feel wasted here sometimes, don't you? Holy moly is there a full moon out right now? It's always one bat flight away. Illumination is irrelevant. Where are all these people COMING from? Didn't you just answer your own question? ...you don't really want someone answering this one, do you? The block user function works really well. Use it, people. Not seeing it. Why is everyone posting in green all of a sudden? Is this an internet meme thingy I'm not up to date on? It happens when someone drops a lipstick on the keyboard in a fit of excitment. Which is why usually it's red or purple, but, ah... you know how goths can be... then there are hippies who will buy anything if told "it's green, man!"... and then there are furries who imagine themselves as grasshoppers. And this returns us on topic! When Antimony tiptoed away, she was too far; but on the last bonus page she returned from her little adventure with her usual eye-shadow on. When was the last time we have seen her without this thing?

The block user function works really well. Use it, people. Not seeing it. Go to the person's profile, click the little gear thing, drop down menu, block user, make sure to select "hide this person's posts". It's beautiful! (Except people keep quoting the person and I see their icon and drivel anyway.)

I'm pretty certain that icon's against the rules anyway. I was trying to figure out how to block it using my FireFox extensions; no dice.

If you have ABP you can set a custom filter for that one image (that thing's a sanity-saver on certain forums ). Should work for Chrom* and Opera as well.

As far as I know you don't need to type stuff in, just right click → "block image" ? Then set it to that specific image: i.imgur.com/zHjicVP.png(random example, URL may or may not match =P)
