Regarding the page, though:
-Bird motif -How much time passed here, do you think? -Took a while to remember, judging by facial expression. -And of course Tom would not give us resolution on whether Annie is angry before the weekend. I was a fool to think otherwise.

Now for four to six pages of Kat trying to find Annie with no luck, increasing in desperation with each page.

I'd love it if the next few pages mirrored Annie's antics in 'From the Forest She Came'
"Annie, Mort's gone mad, we need your blinker stone to do... ethericy, stuff..."

The robots have gone back to business as usual in the meantime apparently, so it must have been at least a few minutes.. I've suspended his CPU, but I need you to do, you know... the blinking fire-control thing?" *international hand symbol for blinking* (I'm guessing Kat could rig up some fancy vfx if she needed to)

It takes an hour or so to come down out of the clouds. Paz was really mackin' on Kat, though, so gotta multiply that effect by a few times. Kat probably spent the rest of the day in that exact position replaying it in her head.

Oh good lord for a second I thought this had all been in Kat's head because I missed the last panel at first.
Sigh and I was so sure we'd jump to Annie on this page.

That feeling is very distracting. Some would say reality altering. I'm surprised her response was "Annie". Instead of "Oh, Annie. Yeah... I'd better find her. *long happy sigh*"

I don't really get the first 3 panels. It's the view outside the doors of the warehouse and reflects Kat's current mood. Also, the compulsory: "is that supposed to be some kind of face, Donland?"

ROFL, this page was hilarious. The light + the birds singing is just too much! knowing Tom drew that is going to make me snicker for days
Kat is thinking about nature and junk for like the first time ever! to think all Ann had to do to get Kat to focus in that one parkor chapter was to make out with her.
(just HOW high do you even have to BE just to WISH for resolution on a FRIDAY)

I love the little robot looking back at her on his way by, like "I wonder how long she's going to be like that?"
Or maybe all the other robots are in another room somewhere, and they all drew straws or something and decided on this little guy and told him to vrrrr on by, quietly but just a little noticeably, to see if she reacts this time. I like this theory -- I wonder how long they've been doing this?

Is this the first time we've seen sunlight like this in the court? Not the first time, but we don't see a lot of it. I remember a discussion about that when page 1235 was put up. It seems like the Court is getting a lot less dark, mysterious, and imposing. I actually kind of miss the old atmosphere.

I hope Annie's not upset that Kat didn't tell her she and Paz were a thing. I mean, they'd agreed to go out together previously, but this appears to be the first time they've clarified that they're "not just friends". They just made it official. Even if Annie hadn't walked up and seen them kissing, Kat could have had a conversation to let her know after this scene and it would have made sense. She could even have a nice "okay I'm too happy reveling in this to hide it anymore" moment like Parley had with her friends regarding her relationship with Smitty. We the audience would go "aww look at that character growth" and then go back to photoshopping Jones shooting eye lasers at Boxbot with a pigeon wearing a party hat on her head.
In other words, Tom has some specific reason why the conversation with Annie has to go "okay so you walked in on something, here's an explanation of what you just saw" instead of "hey friend I've got some good news". What has me worried is that the more innocent explanations of why Annie just ran off don't do a very good job of accounting for that. If she's leaving due to awkwardness or not wanting to interrupt or whatever, then the point of the scene was just so Annie would find out about them, and that could have been done with the conversation they're about to have with or without Annie catching them. Unless the whole point of devoting a page to Kat noticing Annie walk in on them was the brief drama from not understanding Annie's reaction, which will last only as long as it takes Kat to find her now, there has to be some story value to Annie finding out this way. Of the many ways the story can go from Annie finding out about It's Happening, I'm having a hard time thinking of any that both require Annie to be shocked by it and don't herald some sort of awful tension between the two.
