If you want to live in fear seal yourself in a cement underground bunker But if I seal myself away, how would I get more victims? I could only have so many pizzas delivered before they started getting suspicious about the drivers not coming back. You are by far my favorite person in this community.

Tom lives in an unpublished appendix to the Encyclopedia Britannica which is quietly leaking spiders.

I really don't think any of this is helping Guys. Very amusing though. Buying something from Topatoco is about the limit of our ability to help Tom. I seriously, seriously doubt he would accept a room from an internet stranger and he has good reason not to. Half of us are crazy and the other half are even crazier. It's a nice sentiment, but this isn't Reddit. I agree with you but I'd like to add that you can also donate straight to Tom through this page.

ON A COMPLETELY RANDOM NOTE: what would he say if he saw this thread :? My guess: feel very embarrassed and probably stop talking about his personal life on his comic-linked twitter. He seems to be quite a quiet guy, not wanting to get into the fuss of the fans.

Although I am not a fan of the jokes being made in this thread (even though they're tame, I think they're in poor taste considering the topic), he isn't stupid and knows that 99.9% of his followers on twitter are his comic readers. If he didn't want us to know, he wouldn't have vented about it. But yeah, like Lightice said, he moderates the forum even though he hardly ever posts anymore.

Aside from the earlier suggestions of buying Tom's stuff or donating money to him directly, I think about the only thing we can do for him, if he really is reading this thread, is make jokes and hopefully cheer him up a little bit in his difficult time. It's unfortunate that we don't and might likely never know if such an attempt is or would be successful due to his lurking status, but I would hope that he would see the jokes that have been made in this thread in the lighthearted spirit they were intended rather than as insensitive patter or some kind of attempt to spook and/or offend him.

But keep it too yourself, you're more likely to be killed by a relative or acquaintance, than a stranger off the street. You're more likely to be killed by a person with a criminal history. Don't forget that such people aren't random strangers to *everyone* - they have relatives and acquaintances too. Not being a violent criminal and not hanging around with violent criminals hugely decreases your chance of being killed by non-accidental violence.

You're probably more likely to be killed by a random stranger, who happens to be driving a car at the time. But ho hum.
And why is it offensive to post jokes? And yes of course he knows most of his followers are his fans, but I'm sure he wouldn't want us all to be stressing out over it for him. Moving out/forced to move is stressful, hence make jokes to make it less so.
Tom is actually a character from Zimmy's head who escaped anyway, he doesn't live in Birmingham, he lives in Zimmingham. He's being forced to move because the WhiteLegs are back in town and he's fed up with getting white all over his stuff.

No no, put the sacrifice and the gemstones onto the alter of Tea, THEN you do the incantation, they transmute INTO the Blood Money, which Tom then comes and collects before giving a finger to the PazKat haters

Usually with illegal mining or drug wars. so unless you manage a mafia no blood money.

In mundane life, there are two odious tasks that I cannot stand: moving and looking for work. That is part of the reason I have worked at the same company for over 20 years and lived in my last house for even longer.

...I don't know whether to facepalm at the recent posts of this thread or laugh until I end up clapping silently like a demented seal. As forgetful as I am, I don't know where the UK is. And hey, I live in the west of Canada too There should be someone. There's tons of people that use this forum. I don't think all of them still check it regularly though. I can barely keep up, with the amount of threads active right now. Google is your friend.

Many common forum-goers' accounts claim that they last logged in around May, even though they have made many comments since.

It's not broken, there is a setting called "invisible" which makes it so you are not added to the active users list. According to PB I haven't logged in since the first of June. The date you are seeing is whenever that user logged in after the forums switched over and their settings were briefly defaulted while they re-registered. You don't need to summon Tom, Goose, I have a sneaking suspicion he is a regular lurker. Why do I have that suspicion you ask? Because that's exactly what I would do.

Did some research based on what on Tom's twitter if anyone is interested in some Legalese, I'm not too sure what to make of it: Eviction of assured shorthold tenantsWhatever precisely is going on, I just wish him the best of luck. Well, it basically says that they should give him this Section 21 notice at least 2 months in advance, which seems to be the case. So that's it then, unless there are some particular details to this case. ...this is a joke, correct? Jeez... he can't have been evicted for no reason. In Germany there is the concept of "Eigenbedarf". Roughly translated is would mean "Need for one self". Basically if a landlord needs his property for themself or a family member or someone else who an actual need to use the property instead of the tenant. It's more complex than that short explanation of course, the tenant has some possibilities to defend his own rights in such a case. And you cannot cite "Eigenbedarf" if you only just bought the property, you have to wait a few years. From what I gather the situation seems to be similar with this whole "Section 21" business. This thing about not being able to kick out the tenants immediately when buying a house exists in some places, but to my understanding (and mind, I'm not British) not in England. What I know of English case law, the cases where the new proprietary has not been entitled to evict the tenant have been such that a right for the tenant to stay in the apartment has been written in the selling contract, it has been made for a defined term (e.g. "for 6 years", "for life", "as long as she wishes") or the new proprietary has inherited the property rented. I might be wrong though, not an expert of English case law.

I know how expensive moving can be; I'm about to move myself. Do you guys think a indiegogo or something along those lines would be appreciated by Tom (maybe raise him $1,000 bucks or something to help with moving costs/resettling), or we should just let him be? I know he would never set something up like that for himself. Maybe I'll start a new thread to gauge interest.
