a group of kittens is called a kindle. Unless they're dry. Then they're kindling. You are a terrible human being. I would just like to tell you that. May you drown in shames.

Growing up is the process of shedding mental barriers regarding the utility of kittens. It has nothing to do with collective nouns at all.

Coyote prevents dust from gathering by keeping the heart in an air tight jar of his own urine, which is of course magical.

If you are entertaining enough, you might end up surviving once I rule the world with an iron paw.

...It suddenly occurs to me that I don't know any stories about coyote. This is a sin. I know a few . . . but none that are proper to tell in polite company. Same here. Frankly, I'm glad that even at his worst Tom's version of Coyote leaves out the really, really creepy aspects that Coyote often has in mythology. Kind of the same thing happens with Renard, actually: he was not a great guy in the medieval cycle, but he has ended up being really noble ( for the most part) in the Gunnerverse. On the other hand, some different mythos of Coyote can also include him as a true selfless hero, which Tom has also for the most part avoided. One would expect Coyote to be more bipolar (if that's even possible) based on the wildly divergent myths that create him.

I can see coyote as much more unpredictable than as of now. I mean, he's Coyote. It's not that hard to imagine.

The original Coyote: depends on which legend you read The Gunnerkrigg Coyote: at timesThe original ReYnard (also spelled RenarT): yes - only considered a 'good' character in his work because he's better than the villain YsengriM the wolf) The original Reynardine (also spelled Rynadine): yes - a woman-abducting werefox kind of fits this by definition The Gunnerkrigg Renard/Reynardine: rarely seriously, though he messes with it a lot

Before Abraham's uptight descendants came and ruined the party, gods were free-wheeling, wrath-dealing, hard-drinking, mortal-screwing, all-out lewd, lascivious and licentious characters.
Just take a stroll through the Greek pantheon sometime and you'll see.
Now you're only allowed to believe in one at a time and he has to be an angry, misogynistic, contradictory old grouch.
The old days were better I say.

[...] The old days were better I say. Absolutely agreed, until one of those gods paid you a visit Still glad Tom has avoided many of those characteristics in his comic. I like his rendition of Coyote a lot. edit: though Reynadine is pretty recent, come to think of it.

Won't a "reverse crusade" be the invitation for "everyone but X", agressively advertised externally?
