A Thread For the Writers?

I must admit, dear spacemonauts, that I am in a state of bewilderment at present. There has been a wonderful showing in this forum for painters, drawers, graphic artists, photoshop handymen (and women), and of course the voice actors.

It should follow then, that there are some equally talented writers lurking around here, no? Apparently "no" is indeed the answer, as I have not been able to find hide nor tail of such a thing in this entire forum. So I ask you, where are my wordsmiths? Where do they hide? Come out and share your fiction, as it relates to the comic, of course.

I only write sometimes. Usually when participating in a roleplay or collaborative story (With my friends, one tends to bleed into the other).

I think a thread for people to share things they have written is a nice idea and I agree that there is no need to be mean.

I definitely think there should be somewhere to point people in the direction of fanfic as long as Tom doesn't mind, I would expect there to be some caveats on no explicit work (it's out there).

I'd like to add that writing fanfiction, or anything from original work to poetry and music, is a creative and fun hobby. It doesn't matter if you're not brilliant as long as it makes you happy. There's no reason to be snobbish and belittling of others who enjoy it.

Just wait till your main project throws a wheel and sticks itself in the writers block sludge, tossing all those short stories in progress along with it. You might just change your mind. Building believable worlds is rather like math: more exhausting and devious than it looks on the surface.

Sometimes wading through the crap to find decent stuff is actually fun. Its almost like selecting a real book, except the crap-to-notcrap ratio is several orders of magnitude higher, and sometimes finding the most awful fic in the whole damn universe is just as entertaining as finding the best.

But hey, if shooping city face onto annies head and attaching an amusing caption is more your thing, have at it. To each his own I say. Who am I to tell people what art form is greatest?

Alright, I'm Katanja Uchiha. In this universe Kat and Ann are both born expected to grow up as elite ninjas of Village of the Hidden Court. I need someone to play the jinchuuriki Ann, the demon fox Reynard that pesters her, and their two ninja bros Shadow2, and Robot.

Their anti-hero teacher is going to be Coyote, and their first villain they have to overcome is Ysengrin, who is secretly in cahoots with Coyote the whole time.

Really? Hrm. I didn't know fics were posted that often. I used the search function, perhaps not thoroughly enough. Tom's probably super busy, I'll see if I can get a mod to move it out of Discussion or something...

There's actually been one thread with fan fiction, though it has been unused since the end of 2009.

Currently catching up on HS, I wanted a break, so I came here. And now this :/

I do write stories myself, but not fan fiction. I guess this thread would be an especially good place for short pieces. Longer ones are probably better off at a dedicated site.

I would much prefer that all such works be hosted externally (say at fanfiction.net which is pretty much ideal and already has a suitable category) and only links posted here.

While the above "story" is nice enough, this isn't a good platform for either writing or reading such.
