Mightily interesting and good catch. Sometimes I think Tom slides back and edits old online pages to add details we never saw the first time... If in doubt, check the page thread. Well, stop stopping my mad paranoid conspiracy theories, dude. I have the Constitutional right to think and composite my own beliefs even in the face of proof. Tom could ALSO go back and edit the Proboards threads, uh?

Tom could ALSO go back and edit the Proboards threads, uh? I love me a good paranoid conspiracy theory, but for Tom to go back and gaslight us, slowly leading us astray is rather far fetched. All it'd take is for someone to compare the old threads to a web archive and..... No he couldn't have... Edit: Also, "If in doubt, check page thread" is a pretty good rule of thumb for anyone who thinks they've found something new. 95% chance that it was picked up on then and there when the page was released but either didn't have significance until later or it was just forgotten about because there is so much stuff going on.

Yeah, searching the forum is how I found out. But it looks like no one was saying, "hey look that's Tony!" at the flashback panel at least.

You should remember that it was originally supposed to be old Donnie Donlan alone in the woods with Tony watching slugs go at it. So in that case, they'd be trying to PREVENT the creation of both Annie and Kat

Kat being at her most Katlike removes the frame borders the way Annie's trip to the Ether do. Which reminds me of the idea that Kat's aptitudes are more magic-like than she would admit (or its her flavour of magic, or how magic looks to her). I wouldn't be surprised that someone else already pointed that out, but nobody mentioned the connection "Kat Robotting == Annie Ethering" in the thread of the page.

Are you saying that you noticed the Greek letter Omega and the court symbol on reread? Otherwise your post reads like a wild spec.

Probably been noted before, but I just realised it upon rereading page 2029: [Coyote's] decision to separate [Gillitie Wood and the Court] ensured the forest survived. Then, about 20 pages later, Loup closes the ravine.

This thread is massive so I'm sure it's been noted before, but the last panel of this page very clearly foreshadows Annie's non-human ancestry. It implies that if some forest creatures are descended from humans because of how the forest and court were divided, then the reverse is also true. But judging from the forum thread for that page, no one guessed at the time. ^^'

BTW, I don't think this thread is just for things in the comic that nobody has noticed before. It's just for sharing your excitement at stuff you didn't notice except on reread! My advice is, don't hold back just for fear of sounding redundant (especially considering how huge the thread is now, actually...it's hard to care about repeats if it's nigh-impossible to find them)!

Ooh, yeah, there's some great expressions on that page. I particularly like Parley in the background of panel 5 going, "Yeah! Stick it to the man, Smits!"

I'm sure it's been noticed before, but is this haircutting robot? If so, is it present, or just its body? If just its body, I'm imagining a Wall-e like scene with defective robot bodies. www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=215

Also, "It felt like an instant but several months had passed." I guess this is an established occurrence. Wildspec--this is actually Ysengrin's power all along, not Coyote's. www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=223

Huh I always thought Annie's hairclip was passed down from Anya → Surma → Annie after seeing 437, but maybe it's that Surma kept one for herself (eventually passing it down) while giving the other to Anya? Wonder if she still has it if that's the case. Edit:

He gave it/them to Surma in a token of affection, and she gave one to Anja as a matching friendship hair clip. Later on it’s given to Annie. All I can say is, they don’t make them like they used to! www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=1098

Which gives a pretty funny take to pages 1775 and 1776.

It's even been pretty clearly implied that the Court has a literal gift shop before.
The Saga of the Indestructible Hairclip is also still a beloved head-canon to me, though.

Kat's anti-grav unit has a cat on it. Also, the teacher on that page has the phrase "science!" written on his tie.

This thread is so great. I don't think I'd ever catch some of these things, no matter how many times I re-read.
