Kat's anti-grav unit has a cat on it. Also, the teacher on that page has the phrase "science!" written on his tie. Apparently Kat had a cat theme going on early in the comic(maybe she still does and it is one of those other Cool things I only notice on reread): Her motion alarm meows.

Better chemistry than him and Annie. Tbh. Meaning I think Jack’s fine where he is.

The question is, how much does the Court know about her work? If they have only seen a lifelike prothesis they might not have realized she is working on actual artificial bodies.

The Court's interest may be quite limited and in one direction - how to use Kat-tech to fix/improve humans.... NOT how to improve robots to be more like us.

I suppose it just depends on how far they're diving into her work and how she got to the prostheses. And if they want to go review records, they might start noticing some holes in her surveillance. And once again I am reminded of just how many balls Tom has in the air (although we've caught quite a few of them in recent chapters).

I just like how the avatars of the previous two commenters are almost in the correct order from the comics they are taken from.

I noticed Tom seems to play around with the timeline and present what happens on a non-linear fashion in the earlier chapters. (The bridge scene, Zimmy’s first on-screen episode), but this happens less frequently as time goes on. I think it also adds to the sense that the comic is less episodic as all of the episodes get wrapped together and are closer to resolution or merging with other threads to become a new direction. (Not that episodic is a bad thing; I loved how the early comic flowed just as much as I like it now)
I do feel like we’ve entered a new stage where “new” ideas and themes are introduced less often but established ones are developed more deeply and to their logical conclusion.

Following on from this, a familiar figure is seen at the back of the class at the end of this chapter.

William? I don't think it's a glass-eyed man, if that's the idea. According to this, so is Paz. But in the sixth panel her shadow is in the back row. I think it's just Tom's artistic choice. Or maybe they kept moving about really fast, you know how kids that age are.

The seraph robots can fly--or at least glide. Compare the final panel here (seraphs lined up on a beam, maybe 20 feet off the ground) with the second panel here (seraphs in the act of landing behind our heroes, most of them still a couple inches off the ground). I doubt that they simply jumped, because there's no sign of them making a hard landing like Robot tends to do. Somehow I never noticed this before. I mean, yeah, they turned into birdlike flying creatures in The Torn Sea, but that's Zimmingham for you. I assumed the wings were just decorative!

If you go back just a page they also seem to be flying in panel 2, or at least one of them doesn't seem to have a jumping pose.
