Hello! I'm making two playlists on Spotify inspired by Gunnerkrigg Court, one called "gunnerkrigg (the forest)" and one called "gunnerkrigg (the court)" and I was wondering if anyone had any specific song recommendations or suggestions! Thanks!

A ton of Kate Rusby songs. Besides Annan Waters there's also Awkward Annie, which was actually written after the comic started. Sir Eglamore is too off in the tone, despite the name. Playing of Ball is the perfect song for William and Janet (Janet's story in chapter 34 even makes a reference to it).

Hello! So... that's the thread I finally registered for... I wonder, what that reveals about me.. Anyway: My contribution to the topic : Fever Ray - When I grow up www.youtube.com/watch?v=4F-CpE73o2MIt's the video, the ambience of the song and the style of the performer, like a real life Annie coming back from the forest, with knowledge way past her years. I am not anglophone, so please forgive me if the lyrics don't fit the story at all... I guess they do somehow, it even has a little reference to coyote... "Last night I drew a funny man With dog eyes and a hanging tongue" and then there's Annie going into the wilderness with her makeup "When I grow up, I want to be a forester, run through the moss on high heels" |

Thank you so much to everyone who suggested songs! I had so much fun listening to all of your recommendations. I feel like I used most of the songs, however, some were left out to keep the playlists moderately cohesive. I probably will continue to add to and edit the playlists for fun, but in the meantime, here they are if you'd like to listen!
