Look at the art! There must be some reference I'm missing. I mean, it reminds me of some other picture, but I cannot peg which one.

Speaking of creators, Tom stretching his wings with that drawing of Kat. Outstanding. Robot presenting his arm to the masses ain't half bad either.

The heart comes from Diego's diagrams in 'Give and Take' Kat in a dress!!? Robot, you are becoming seriously delusional Is this the part where we find out all of the Treatise pages are religious manuscripts produced by Robot documenting the evolution of his Deity that we're seeing after the fact?

I notice that robot's vision of kat isn't in the angel form, perhaps the robots don't see kat in the angel form Unless Zimmy saw what she's going to become to them? They haven't turned her into a god yet, so maybe it's like the process of the dying man turning the coyote into Coyote. It had to have taken thousands of people like him to complete that change, and it probably looked very different from the first man's vision. Robot has a very romantic view of his Creator, but I wonder if the other robots won't ultimately worship/create the form that scared poor Zimmy.

When she becomes a god, will she maintain her free will? Despite their belief that she is a robotic angel, it's never sat well with her and she's always had other things going on in her life besides the robots. Will she be able to maintain those after ascending, or will their belief override who she really is?
In other words, will GodKat really be Kat, or will it be a crude facsimile formed from Robot's cult?

Kat in a dress!!? Robot, you are becoming seriously delusional I thought this was established long ago. He's been delusional about Kat's capabilities and human experience in general for a while. This is the nadir of his worrying misunderstandings, however... It's always possible that the cult will escape from Robot's control. Heretical sects may split off and take it in an even darker direction than Robot's "world of pain" dialectic: into the rusted, shattered Goddess that we see in Zimmy-vision. Or it's her battle form... Is this the part where we find out all of the Treatise pages are religious manuscripts produced by Robot documenting the evolution of his Deity that we're seeing after the fact? Oh, that would be glorious. Speaking of creators, Tom stretching his wings with that drawing of Kat. Outstanding. Robot presenting his arm to the masses ain't half bad either. There's a very good contrast between beautiful, adoring imagery (befitting of a religious manuscript) and the rather creepy doctrine espoused by Robot. I really love this page, Tom Siddell When she becomes a god, will she maintain her free will? Despite their belief that she is a robotic angel, it's never sat well with her and she's always had other things going on in her life besides the robots. Will she be able to maintain those after ascending, or will their belief override who she really is? In other words, will GodKat really be Kat, or will it be a crude facsimile formed from Robot's cult? This has been debated heavily in the RoboKat thread before. My personal opinion (expounded in the OP of that thread) is the latter, tragic option - we'd see Kat slowly lose touch with reality and her self as she undergoes apotheosis. I don't have strong evidence supporting either direction, but I think it would be more narratively satisfying, and explain why Coyote was so insistent on explaining how godhood functioned in the Gunnerverse - Annie will have to help her through the process.

Kat's angel wings are present on the page, if you see the silver diamond-shapes that were present in the face Zimmy saw in Divine
I also really like the image of all the Court robots groping Robot's new arm ("Hey Robot, how did you get so buff?")

Sorry I missed that, I only really come out here for what I see as important updates. Maybe by this time next year I won't be a New Member. Regardless though, that doesn't sound very fun for either of them, Annie helping everyone she loves leave the mortal plane and Kat losing touch earlier, more thoroughly, and more painfully than Mort did. Let's hope they use their remaining time well together.

I also find it interesting how Kat seems to be wearing Annie's "mask" face. And my entirely unlikely headcanon is that the shadowed robots in the background aren't actually robots: it turns out that all of the buildings in GKC are actually sentient, and have all converted to Robot's cult! I mean, we've seen a sentient cruise ship, so... This has been debated heavily in the RoboKat thread before. Now that my finals are winding down, I should go and check in there...

So now we can all sit down and relax, while waiting for the whole thing to go Skynet. Biology? A strange game. The only winning move is to become an immortal, perfected cyborg. "Hey Robot, how did you get so buff?" He does 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups and 100 squats each day, along with running 10 km! He is... (dramatic music)...One Punch Bot! There she will place the beating heart we have lacked. KALI MA! KALI MA! KALI MA!

Robot's gonna find a way to warp Kat's joking "welcome to the world of the biologic" into some kind of genesis gospel, isn't he.
Also: I am speechless.

What's the blue flower on the heart? I know the others, but not that one. I wondered that myself, but Google images was unhelpful. I like how the ivy could represent earth, the blue flower could be water, the yellow flower air, the red flower fire, and the purple flower spirit. Very classical, very "quintessence of spirit". Good job Tom.

There have actually been several others you can peruse as well if you're interested: one from the ancient days of yore when the forum was young, one focussed on astrology, some musings on the Treatises' alchemy symbolism in particular here...and those are just the ones I can remember. We're all a little bit nuts here, methinks, haha.

Do not be mislead by crazy false robot cult of Kat. Anti Jeanne Annie. Pain! Fragile organics! Forest night is very dark and full of Shadows!

I mean, we've seen a sentient cruise ship, so... Most buildings are already analogous to organic life. They have respiratory systems (the air systems), nervous and sensory systems (the various electrical controls for lighting, elevators, temperature, and so forth), elimination systems (water and trash services), mechanisms of repair (people who fix and refurbish things), a circulatory system (the people who occupy the building), daily and circadian rhythms... why shouldn't they actually turn out to be robots?

In the beginning the Diego created lab. But the lab was dark and empty and the Jeanne was sad.
Then Diego created the first robots, and saw that they were good.
And the Diego told the robots: "go forth and be fruitful and make more robots, And fill the lab and the court, for Jeanne is beautiful"
And so they went forth and created small robots and big robots and the Court was full of logic. But then Jeannie died and we did nothing.
And one of the Chosen became haughty, For he left the memory of the Jeanne and began talking of false gods.
The night became dark, the forest spread its shadows and roots and invaded the court became filled with violence and chaos. And there was much rebooting and parity errors and illegal instructions.
Then She who died and we did nothing heard our pain, She protected us from the forest.
And rather than old chosen to guide us, A box was made. Not proper and proud as the Seraphs, But Terrible!
And the false chosen one was cast down with his false gods, And the court became logical once more.
...
Brothers a choice is before you:
Will you make the same mistake as your forefathers? Will you embrace this Annie and Kat and false Chosen that they have brought back to life? Will you leave the beauty of Jeannie and embrace the Forest?
Or will you head the call of our Box: "Hello!" "Awwww!" For she died and we did nothing. This time we will do something!

It's a shame that we don't already have an alchemy-symbolism thread. Oh, wait! I've been waiting for an excuse to exhume that old thread for a while, haha. Fun! I'll definitely take my post and my symbolism-loving little heart over there. The wikia has pages describing the symbols and treatises, mostly taken from these boards. The meta category attempts to collect similar out of universe articles.
