A song please, Minstrel. And make it a good one. The 4 panel layout. I dont think I've really seen that before here. (I do have an awful memory though)

Well, that's... cute, but boring.
I don't intend to be mean.

I love how all the side characters are getting face time.
Well, it is just a bonus page. I agree that it can be a little frustrating waiting for the next chapter to start, but these things are fun. Besides, Tom probably needs breathers between all the awesome.
If the next page is another one-shot (as seems to be the pattern) I hope we see Janet and Winsbury.

"Love is a stranger in an open car, To tempt you in and drive you far away...." But I don't know how that would work on solo guitar. How about, "Oh I have dined in palaces, Drunk wine with kings and queens, but Darlin', oh Darlin', You're the best thing I ever seen"
Someone photoshop his eyes solid black and turn his skin sickly. HE IS A GREY. Yes, I suck at gimping.

If the next page is another one-shot (as seems to be the pattern) The pattern is generally one Bonus Page between chapters - Tom's only deviated from that twice (between Chapters Eleven and Twelve, and between Chapters Eighteen and Nineteen).

I like that he's playing a Dobro / resonator guitar.

This is a heck of a reprieve from the last few pages. But it is good to know that Tom isn't focusing on only one group at a time. Gotta get those side guys too yo.

Apparently when they're in regular uniform and not on a roof, it's safe and there's no blushing or stammering.

I like that he's playing a Dobro / resonator guitar. And playing with a slide. Awesome attention to detail.

Well, that's... cute, but boring. I don't intend to be mean. GC is not just just any other webcomic. It's a work of art. And what differentiates between a work of art that has a literary value and a melodramatic thriller is the ability to break the dramatic climax from time to time and allow for character development and enrichment of the backround story, and allowing for a good plot buildup.

I liked it. Real life isn't all about action. It has quiet, quirky and introspective moments too.

Anyone gonna look through their music library to see what song he played? It was 5:54 long or so...assuming Tom had a particular song in mind.
And Tom, awesome extra art piece. Margo's face is priceless.

No, I am pretty sure that is the look of panties getting wowed off. Or maybe John played a song that lasted three and a half minutes, kissed her passionately, and then turned into a bird and flew out the window.

"Choose wisely, John" hahahahahah that's such a perfect little comment. I'm growing very fond of reading Tom's little added notes below the page. Like alt text in plain sight.

No, I am pretty sure that is the look of panties getting wowed off. Yeah, I'm going to have to go with thatlamer on this one here. You'll notice how John's hair and shirt are all mussed up. He played something, Margo liked it....a lot.... Then suddenly: MAKEOUT TIME. But of course embarrassment kicked in and she left.

It looks to me like his hair and shirt are being blown away by the shockwave of a door slammed in anger. If they were making out, he probably wouldn't still be holding his guitar in his lap. I sure hope he gets another chance.

It looks like 4:55 songs are more common than I thought. Even my paltry music collection had quite a few:
The Flower Called Nowhere - Stereolab, Dots and Loops: I'd have about the same expression as Margo if someone managed to play a stereolab song on a guitar.
Advice For The Young At Heart - Tears For Fears: Lyrically appropriate -- actually quite forward -- but excessively whiny.
Saturn Return - R.E.M., Reveal: About 15 years early.
All This Time - Sting, The Soul Cages: One of my favorite songs, although possibly robbed of some of its impact, since "chthonic spiritual alternatives to Christian asceticism" is actually a required year 7 class at Gunnerkrigg.
Jeremiah Blues (Part 1) - Sting, The Soul Cages: No.
Rock Paper Scissors - Ani DiFranco: NO.
A Forest - The Cure: PUT DOWN THE GUITAR.
Wishing (If I Had A Photograph Of You) - Flock of Seagulls: Actually a very good choice.
(note: I'm just doing this for fun. I don't intend it to be taken as valid detective work.)

If they were making out, he probably wouldn't still be holding his guitar in his lap. That's the catch...it happened so fast, poor boy didn't even get to put his guitar down

Hmmm... Its hard to say. My gut reaction thought that she was pissed, but now I'm not so sure. Then again, Margo has kind of a "what the hell' look on her face.

It was something strange what happened, that's what it was. Maybe he's like a monstruous-cute Edward Scissorhands on the guitar. Actually that's who Tom reminds me of, with his stumpy hands. But they still chisel out a marvellous piece of comic art. And we get snow.
