We can, but you have to suggest a new topic.

How about returning more to "reader groups" rather than focusing on hairstyles? I mean, it is a matter of personal taste after all. We'll never reach a consensus.
What are some other things you find interesting? Favorite movies/books? LoTR is one of yours, I'd have to guess, Rastarogue. Where does GC compare favorably or less favorably to your favorites?

Hmm, favorite books: Ender's Game series, actually, and a lot of Celtic/Irish/Scottish mythology. The Dies the Fire series by S.M. Stirling. I wouldn't count LotR as one of my favorites at all, really. Good books, but didn't really do much for me. Also a lot of really hard sci-fi and space opera, think Heinlien's Future History books.

I'm Noah. Sometimes I spell my name Noa, just because I don't want to give the h any recognition for slacking off. I'm a guy. I'm 18. I'm from the coast of the western United States. I am an atheist in the sense that I'm not a "theist". My belief structure is independent of a recognizable or organized religious authority, that is to say, whether I believe in a god or gods or not (which is none of your business), I definitely think that any and all holy books and scriptures are absolute rubbish. I'm not quite sure how I found GunnerKrigg Court, but I frequent the Dresden Codak and XKCD webcomics. It was probably a link from somebody on one of their forums, as I find a lot of enjoyable webcomics through them. Am I normal? As far as I'm concerned, I define the friggen term and everybody else is a bunch of wahoos. If you'd like to know something interesting about me, you could start with the 4 inch butterfly tattoo between my shoulders. It's a ulysses swallowtail. It matches my earrings (two out of three). My hair is naturally black. I dye it auburn. That's a shade of red, mind you, so you could say I'm in the red hair camp. The original idea came from Amarao, because my black eyebrows complete the look now that I keep my sideburns trimmed long.

Sandman and Transmetropolitan Love. Gunnerkrigg might be described as a mix of Transmetropolitan and Sandman, for younger audiences (that is, not as explicit as Transmetro and not as dark as Sandman).

Also GC isn't as violent as Transmet. But yeah, I can definately see Sandman involved, and didn't Neil Gaiman compliment Tom in an interview one time? Rastarogue, yay Terry Pratchett and Dune!

My favorite book is probably Hard Boiled Wonderland & The End of the World. It was a hard choice, I like a lot of books.
My favorite movie is probably 2001: a Space Odyssey. It cures ADD. It was even harder to choose a favorite movie, having worked in a video store and all...
My favorite band is Rush. It follows that my favorite genre is classic rock. My music library spans everything from power metal to techno though.
My favorite comic is... well let's just say my top 3 comics in no particular order are Gunnerkrigg Court, XKCD, and Dresden Codak.

Just thought I might as well add a bit, as my introduction was rather short. There seems to be a theme of religion and hair here, so here I go. I'm an atheist. My hair is possibly the most difficult to describe hair of anyone I know - it's not light or dark. It's both curly and straight. It's halfway between short and long. And everybody's either convinced that it's going to turn blonde or brown by the time I'm twenty. To put it simply, it's red, but a brownish sort of red. It's just above my shoulders. I got blonde streaks for christmas, as well. When I'm not spending a day at home being lazy, I straighten the top layers, and leave the bottom however it was when I woke up. Honestly, my hairs a bit of an inoffensive disaster. Edit: Seems I missed a page. I don't read as much as I used to, but recently I enjoyed the books Tomorrow, Maybe and I am currently reading (and really enjoying!) The Seven Daughters of Eve, which I recommend to everyone. I don't know who either of the authors are. I probably should, but I don't. I'm sorry. The only other comics I read frequently are Natalie Dee and Dinosaur Comics. I check out White Ninja and A Softer World out as well, but they update less often. I watch a lot of tv. I think tv is cool. The shows I'm watching at the moment are House, Scrubs, Quantum Leap, Beauty and the Geek, and I'm pretty sure there's something else but I've forgotten it. Oh, I also like Black Books and Due South. As for music, I pretty much like whatever is on the radio at the moment. I'm also a big Incubus fan, and I like a new zealand band called Headless Chickens a lot too. You guys should check them out!

How should I know? Though I would add Jim Butcher and Philip Pullman (to your list) and punch R.A Slavatore in the face (on your list, since he's not on mine), but that's just me. ;D I would say that my (current, it changes from day to day) list would be something like: Terry Pratchett (anything) Liveship Traders by Robin Hobb LoTR Anything by Mercedes Lackey Anything by Patricia Briggs Anything Philip Pullman Anything Jim Butcher Anything Feist Anything Asimov Anything Lois McMaster Bujold Anything Neil Gaiman Anything Tanya Huff And that's only in approximate order. GC's not on there because it's a comic, and that would be a whole 'nother list.

I've been a Star Wars buff for maybe six years, give or take, throughout the disappointment of the latter two prequel releases. Strangely enough I get more out of Tolkien's Silmarillion than LotR when it comes to reading material. I'm also liking what I see in Neal Stephenson's Baroque Trilogy (well, the two books of it that are out at this point), I'm a fan of HHGTTG, I used to collect a bunch of the Redwall books (I still think Pearls of Lutra was the best), and I'm also into the Discworld series. Big fan of the six original Dune books, but I don't like the new ones. Besides the authors corresponding with the books already listed, I like Timothy Zahn, Matthew Stover, Shane Johnson... At the moment I'm getting into Dumas' Three Musketeers while rereading The Lost Continent. Well, when I have time. Somehow reading time tends to vanish when I'm spending 12-14 hour days at school. My favorite movie is probably 2001: a Space Odyssey. It cures ADD. Full agreement. I don't think it's my absolute favourite but it's definitely up there on the list. Also, I absolutely love the movie Primer. I have no idea what to say in the way of music. I'll roll with practically anything except country. The twanginess (is that a word? It is now) grates on my nerves. I guess my favourites will depend on my mood, though I mostly listen to hard rock and/or electronica. While we're on the topic, <3 Salvador Dali. Although I don't think I would have wanted to know him personally. EDIT: Eep. I almost forgot Alphonse Mucha. Now I'd better get back to work.
