Annie, you thief!
She's so casual about it. But she's really not so good with alarms, is she.
Now for a quick getaway on the ever-ready Reywolf! Nice pose for Reynardine, by the way.
Heh, the "elite" security-bots kind of remind of the Keystone Kops - they don't seem all too bright. Seems to be a running theme with these robots, but no wonder. That CPU Annie took appears to be a 16-pin side-brazed ceramic package. Microchip PIC processer, perhaps? You could find more processing power in a coffee maker! (Ok, I just geeked myself bigtime...)
But I've got to wonder, where does Annie think she's going to go? Does she think she'll be safe from robot security anywhere in the Court?
Edit: Anyone else notice the nod to Gunnerkrigg Court on Girl Genius Advanced Class today? Way cool!

Edit: Anyone else notice the nod to Gunnerkrigg Court on Girl Genius Advanced Class today? Way cool! You forget, mrw, Annie has a clever disguise. All she has to do is resume her normal, non-antennae'd appearance and the robots will be none the wiser as to her true identity. Also, thanks for pointing out the nod over at Girl Genius. Ah, fun times and camaraderie within the webcomics "clique". Also also, did anyone read the message about Tom doing a guest comic for Dr. McNinja? Holy cannoli, I can't wait to see it. Unfortunately, they haven't updated yet. Maybey after I wake up tomorrow. I really oughta get to bed. Oh, wait! Before that, I wanna point out something so someone more versed in obscure symbols can figure it out for me. It seems the chip has a little symbol of its own! It looks rather familiar, like something I oughta know, but I can't place my finger on it. Maybe the rest will have better luck. Edit: Wait, one last thing. Seriously, this is the last one. I just remembered that one of the best features of Dr. McNinja is that there is always a hilarious alt-text packaged in with the comic page. Even the guest comics get one, penned by the writer behind Dr. McNinja himself, so to those who're looking at the comic for the first time just to see Tom's guest comic, be sure to take the time to hover your cursor over the image for a few seconds and read the alt-text.

the sybol should look familiar, it's the simble for bismuth, as discussed in the alchemy thread.

I noticed the bismuth sign too. It's becoming one of the most dominant alchemy symbols used in the story, but we still don't know what or who it belongs to.

I got a kick out of Annie's comment on alarms - especially because it's just the kind of thing that she would say.
Good thing for her and Reynardine that they've got those particular security-bots on guard detail! (Between these and the door-bot, I'm starting to suspect that Gunnerkrigg Court artificial intelligence is more "artificial" than "intelligence".)

Well, it could make sense : the Elitebots would expect her to obey because they would expect her to be a robot -- GC robots could be bound to follow their orders. On the other hand, if the robots weren't able to break rules to some extent, why would there be so many "criminals" in there ?

Because they will only be bound to follow specific rules. I doubt that they were instrusted "do not steal the fourth chalk eraser in the level three history room" because it would take forever to tell them all thos specific rules. So by following the letter and not the spirit of the law, tey can become criminals.
That's my theory, anyway.
And no wonder Annie hates alarms - last time she heard one she fell off a bridge!

So, so...The alarm sounds like a chocobo?
Also, those security robots are my heroes.

The Elitebots really remind me of Megabytes idiot lackeys in Reboot, the same floundering when things go illogically wrong

You know you're a nerd when: You read page 219 of Gunnerkrigg Court, and all you can think is "Man, Antimony just killed the robot! She forgot to ground herself before touching the chip!"

While you might be able to get copies of episodes, I'd say BitTorrent is your best bet for Reboot.
I enjoyed this comic quite a bit, the gaurds logical response to Annie's illogical actions sticks with Tom's portrayal of them that goes all the way back to Grumpybot at least.

The goofy robots have the best lines ever. I wouldn't think of the robots hoping that Annie would obey being some kind of special robot attribute as much as it's just something silly and funny any comical guards might say.
