I don't think it'll wrap up too soon. Most chapters lately have been going for 30+ pages. The longest being 43. I'd say we probably have another 10 pages left, and that can fit in lot.

This chapter doesn't look done plot-wise at all. This is going to keep on going for a while, that's my guess.

Jack is up to shenanigans! Jacknanigans! Rey seems all set to sneak attack Jack. Looks more like he's hiding. I doubt he's keen on half the school knowing he's not just a stuffed toy. He may be a trickster, but he's not nearly as much of a showoff as his coocoo Cousin. edit: make that hiding and eavesdropping. Reynard is a sneaky bastard.

I'm curious how the chapter is going to deal with this new plot point, since by the looks of it will be wrapping up within a few pages. Are we going to learn or see what Jack wants from Zimmy, or is it going to be left with a cliffhanger? This chapter is at about 20 pages right now, and we've had 40-page chapters before. Why do you think this chapter is almost done? But the answer to the question is: definitely it will be the latter, because nothing ever really comes to an end in GCK. However it may also be the former.

I think what distubed Annie was the destruction of false-Kat. Outside of that, she seemed to be able to handle Zimmy's nightmare world reasonably well. I think once the initial shock of fake-Kat's destruction had worn off, Annie was fine again. I think one of the reasons that Jack didn't handle the Nightmare world is that he's not as well-equiped to deal with it. On top of having prior experience with Zimmy's influence, Annie's had to deal with weird crap all her life, so the nightmare world isn't too much of a shock to her system. We don't know anything about Jack's past, but it's not unlikely that he hasn't been exposed to anything like this before, and being shunted into the nightmare world with no warning or prior experience was really rough on him.

Exactly what Versa said. Remember, Annie is the one who can look Ketrak in the eye(s) and not blink.

And I think Annie was well aware that the place they were in was fake. Jack had no such luxury and as far as he knows they were teleported somewhere, and everything he saw was real. From his interrogation it sounds like he hasn't figured anything out, so being in a nightmare world and thinking that it was all real would definitely be more traumatizing.
