Sorry if I haven't been around for the past few days, I was helping my mom move to another house. Casey, could you send me PM with the Skype thing, as well as that Push-to-Talk function?

Sorry for fooling you into thinking I was online, I forgot to turn Skype off when I left the house. Maybe tomorrow, eh?

Yay! I finally got on Skype! I'll probably only be able to respond via text as I am also using Ventrilo for another project.

I can see there's a bunch of people on Skype, but I can't join you tonight as my work and my cold have both taken a turn for the worst. Some other time, definitely, when I don't feel like death gone stale.

Here is a list of people that I haven't seen on Skype yet. We'd really like to see all the actors on when they can, as we have been rehearsing lines and have had to give some parts to volunteer readers because the person with the role was not there.
Edzepp, for Mort
Peachikeen, for Janet and Zimmy (registered but hasn't been online for a while
Leela, for Surma
Meagan, for Red
I also need Neil and Soymilk to send me their recordings for their bit parts. Soymilk I sent you some revisions for your first submission, and Neil, I don't know if you have the address to send it to but if you don't, send me a PM and we'll get that arranged.
Deliciouscake... please see me on Skype whenever you get a chance. I want to talk to you in particular... *evil laugh*
Everyone else, if we've rehearsed your lines to the point that you're comfortable recording them, PLEASE DO SO. If you still have questions, concerns, etc, you should already be talking to me about them. If there are particular scenes you want to rehearse more, PLEASE BRING IT UP on Skype when there are other actors there, so we can get you squared away. We need to be moving forward now, and to do that we need voices on (proverbial) tape.

OK I have homework for each of the people on this list. If you're not on this list but you've won a part, then your homework is the same as it has been: keep rehearsing your lines privately, and bring any questions you have to me on Skype.
Aricos: Set up the other PC and check audio recording quality. Send me a sample recording from that PC.
FuzzyOne: Send me your Winsbury lines from Chapter 2. Meet with me on Skype to go over the questions you had about Chapter 1 so we can get that in the bag.
Rasselas: Record your Chapter 2 lines with the audio fixes in place that we worked on yesterday. Give me multiple takes of each line so I can give you feedback on what I thought worked best.
p13volution: Go ahead and give me a few takes on your Basil. Feel free to do a few passes as over the top as you want.
XanBcoo: Same thing for your Evil Spanish Clown. See me if you want to go over any of your Muut lines, but be preparing those please.
Leela: Keep working on that Barnsley accent! I know it's not easy. You can give me a private sampling on Skype if you're not ready to debut it to the group yet. As much as possible, practice the accent by reading your Surma lines with it... I think that will be more effective in the long run than just practicing on any old sentences. Just remember WWKRD (what would Kate Rusby do).
Edzepp: I need you to contact me! I've been trying to reach you! If you're still going to play Mort I need to hear something from you!
Peachikeen: Get with me on Skype to rehearse Zimmy. I want us to get a clear idea of where you're going with the character. Memorize your words if you can... it will make getting her attitude a lot easier if the words are from memory. (This advice really applies to everyone.)
Soymilk: Check your email and your PMs! I also have a semi-related question that I need to run by you, so please get in touch with me.
Ulysses: Be practicing your lines. I think your accent is going to be fine but if you want to polish it up, now would be the time to do so.
Deliciouscake: I need you to get in touch with me. On Skype, through PMs, or email, but I need to talk to you. Please try to find me ASAP.
Edit: I missed one. Meagan! Please come on Skype! It's past Monday! Or at least check your emails again...
For anyone I didn't specifically mention: work on your lines, try to memorize at least your first chapter of appearance! I can't make this project happen alone... it's going to require a lot of independent, self-motivated work from each of you. We have to make this happen together.

This is an important update that everyone involved in the voice production needs to be aware of.
I have edited the first post on this thread to update and clarify some of our procedures. Please review that post, and follow it if you have won a role in the project.
Most important is the last item in the post. This applies to ALL actors in the project including those that have already been in production. You all need to send me a PM with an email address where I can get a hold of you if you should suddenly go MIA.
Your sending me a PM with the requested information will be my indication that you are still active in the project and that you've read and understood what's being asked of you.

CAST, READ THIS!
There are a number of cast members who have not complied with the above set of instructions. Please do so, I need to know that you're still in the project and your PM is my answer.
Also: SOYMILK, EMPERIORRAVEN, AND MEAGAN you have PMs that I have sent to you a while ago that you have not opened. CHECK YOUR PM's!

Hello! Sorry I went AWOL, crap hit the fan. It turns out I won't be available until the middle of next week (I have already told Casey about this by PM). However, after that I will return to my scheduled hours (i.e nothing to do, ever). I'm sorry for being such a noob.

Basically, for you Cake, come on Skype any possible time you are available. Being Annie and all, there's no one who can't benefit from your presence.
We've also moved away from the large rehearsal format--albeit mostly because you were gone--and so I've been working individually with people coaching them on your lines. But again, for you, there are plenty of people who can benefit from reading against your lines, so come on any time you have free time. If no one else is there, I'll work with you individually.
I'll give you more details on Skype. Because you can read back on Skype chats (both individual and group) we've found it to be a better way to stay in contact with each other than posting here.

Actors:
There is going to be a cast meeting on Skype next week. Specifically I would like anyone with lines in Chapters 1 through 4 to attend. It's going to be on Wednesday at the usual time: 5pm GMT, 11am Central, do the math from there.
We're going to talk about where we're at and what I need each of you to be working on. If you can make it, please do. If you know already that you won't be able to make it, send me a PM and I'll talk to you independently. If it turns out that the vast majority of you can't make it, then I'll make other arrangements, but you'll have to send me PMs in order for me to know that and plan accordingly.
After the meeting, the most important order of business is getting everyone's recording environment and settings perfect. Too much time is being lost from people not having that squared away. That's not a knock against anyone... I just feel bad for those who take up tome recording things only to have the quality be such that their work is rendered unusable.
If there is time, I expect to run some group rehearsals this same day. So you're not going to want to miss out.
Tell you what, let me just get each of you to send me a PM either way, to tell me that you are coming or to tell me that you can't. That way I'll know who got the message. And this is only a requirement for the actors with lines in chapter 1-4... others are welcome to attend to listen in of course, but I've gotta get these people squared away so that we can continue to do good work.
Replies here are not necessary. Please PM me to RSVP.

Hey cast, let's get together again this Wednesday. If you can make it, just be there. We'll start an hour later than last week, so 6pm GMT, 12pm Central.

I can't, sorry. I missed the last one too, but that was because I forgot which is even worse I'm not doing too well at this, am I? Would you like me to come on for a bit of 1-2-1, Casey? That's if you think any of my voices could do with some work.

Well only a couple of people showed up for the meeting. I understand though, because I didn't give you guys as much advance notice as last time. So the things that I was going to say there, I'll just have to say here. Which I didn't want to have to do, but so it goes.
I'm... concerned--yes, that's the word I'll use--that the assignments I gave everyone last week, the requests that you get your recording space and your levels and ambient noise in order and then send me a sample so that we know we're squared away... nobody has done this. I haven't received anything in my email, and that concerns me.
I asked each of you if your level of enthusiasm was still up there for this project. I wanted to know that each of you was motivated enough to move forward. You each indicated that you were, but you know what they say about actions speaking louder than words. I'm not asking you to explain yourselves... I'm asking you to just please do it. Show me you're still on board by finding the time to produce some great material and sending it to me.
Let's keep any replies or retorts to PMs, Skype, or email. Everyone knows that production is hell, but that doesn't make me feel any better about having to hash these things out publicly. If any of you is having any genuine problems, get in touch with me and let's talk about it.
Thanks.

Just wanted to check in with everyone. I am back from my break and settled in, and currently in the middle of a lot of re-recording (both Casey and I are working hard to get everything right, and that includes making sure things are PERFECT). I should hopefully have my current chunk done by Sunday. I won't be on skype as I have a terrible habit of letting it distract me, but I will be back on once I'm up to date.
I realise I'm holding back production quite a bit. I can only apologise. I think as soon as I get these first few teething problems ironed out, things will move a lot more quickly.
