Hi everyone! The project seems to be alive again, so I too started working again. I have modified Ulysses' Tic-Toc a bit to fit with what I imagine the Tic-Tocs to sound like: nkdev.de/misc/gkcfp/tictoc-shorter_web.mp3What do you think?

Sounds good to me! Though I always pictured the tictocs sounding deeper and slower...but this actually sounds really cool. I like that it's not perfectly even...one "tic" is longer than the other. (Jeez, I don't know how to describe sound effects! XD)

I will say, that sounded a bit tinny. I imagined the tictocs to sound a little creepier. I think it would be better if it was a little deeper

What about the sample I posted?

I like that your sample is deeper, but it's really echo-y. Is there a way to make it a bit...clearer?

What about the sample I posted? Oops, I have forgotten it somehow, even though I did download it. I actually find that background sound quite interesting. Maybe we can use that for something later on. I tried to remove that background noise for now though: nkdev.de/misc/gkcfp/beat__legion_vv2.mp3(simply replacing the parts between the tocs with silence worked surprisingly well)

I really like it! If everyone likes the background noise we could probably keep some (but make it quieter or something? I don't really know how someone would go about editing), but I like the clarity of the non-echoey version. Anyway, yay for tictocs!

May I attempt to send something in for the tic tocs, which has become an incredibly popular subject, it seems.

got them
Alright, I got most of the sounds now. There are currently two sounds left that we still need:
1. *Ding!* When robot wakes up. We once had a microwave oven that made a really nice *ding!* when it was done.
2. A nice, clear, but silent "click" of a door being closed. Unfortunately, we here in europe had to sell all our doors to chopstick manufacturers from china in order to pay for the financial crisis so I can't record this sound myself.
