For some reason I can think of two other BAPs off the top of my head, and boy is that one versatile onomatopoeia... thing. I wonder if that letter's for Mort?

Kat uses Righteous Indignation! Kat's strength increases!
Muut uses Stare! It's not very effective.....
Kat uses Bap! It's super effective!
The second panel of this page is officially the most hilarious thing ever. I wonder why Kat didn't ask why none of the psychopomps came for Surmer, though?
(Also, I never realised how tall Muut was before now. He must be like 8 feet or something)

Someone make me that avatar please. Dearest Katerina has just become my second favorite character, and I believe this occasion should be properly marked.
What if the letter's for Surma!
...to Wild Spec with me?

This is the first time i can remember actually laughing out loud at this comic. I officially love Kat. Letter'll be to Mort, i don't think the fans can take any more surprises!

Count me as another person who thinks that the letter would be to Mort (delivering a letter to a ghost wouldn't be breaking the non-intervention law, because they're no longer alive, the Guides are unable to reach Jeanne - the only other ghost in the area that we know of, and since I doubt that you can take letters to the afterlife, it can't be for Surma).
And I definitely didn't expect Kat to do *that* - which probably makes it all the funnier.

Love the strip. Kat's awesome, and I think the letter's for Mort. I had something else I said about it, but it's completely slipping my mind. Ah well. It'll be in the comic's comment thread. IN OTHER NEWS...Count Casimir, yon avatar awaits here. Was going to post it here, but I didn't want to off-topic this thread too much.

I expected Kat to just be incredulous and demand Muut for an explanation. She certainly showed him. I love Muut's blank expression as she hits him square in the gut.

My first attempt at GKC Avatars, inspired by this most awesome of storylines. Couldn't be better with Monster Trucks and Electric Guitars. Edit: Crap. Went to load the third, and Photobucket goes into maintenance. The third will be up as soon as I can get it up.

Bah, looks like I've been beaten to the punch (get it?) when it comes to avatars for that panel. But Fuzzyone, may I recommend the file format .png for future avatars? .jpg's way low res; the image winds up looking fuzzy.

Why would Annie send a letter to Mort when she can just talk to him?! Come on.
The simplest and most sensible answer is that it's for Surma.

One of the single best comic punches ever . As for the letter, my bet is that it's for her dad. It doesn't follow with the non-interfering dealie but my spider sense is tingling.

Mort has run away, remember? Due to his unique abilities, he can hide indefinitely and Annie won't be able to find him. Muut, on the other hand, can.

Obviously the letter is to Jeanne. She's hoping Muut will get shanked.

Hmm. I ... I don't think so, no. ... Suddenly I am feeling lonely. Aaaahh, Tom!! What have you done!?

Is anyone else noticing how awesome this chapter is? We get an in-depth look at the function of blinker stones, information about the eye symbol, appearances from multiple secondary characters, Robox (need I say more?), a rare glimpse into Annie's emotional character and history, and Kat is terrific no less than three times!

Yeah! Come to think of it, Blinking is shaping up to be one of the best chapters yet! And coming right after Coyote Stories no less.
