Coyote might be teaching Zimmy about how to stabilize and control her connection to the Ether in preparation for a battle yet to come. Coyote and Zimmy: the High Contracting Parties or characters in a wacky High School Drama? Yes.

This is a very interesting flip of the dynamic though... We have Annie and Kat engaging in high level etheric/technomagic shenanigans...
And the gods and goddesses of the setting have been put in the place of the students.
I would 100% be up for an AU/Alt Universe season of GC with these shifted relationships and positions.

Christopher Oyote is probably finding it incredibly amusing to be a human boy in the 1970s. Those cars seem to be current designs. At least from the 2000's. A wizard did it.

So Coyote calls Zimmy "sister", as a fellow divine being, and rightly so. But does he know that she isn't the divine being that created the NPs that he was looking for? It seems that he doesn't, and therefore also that he still doesn't know about Kat.
This will cause all kinds of interesting confusion.

We continue with the school anime scenario that Zimmy and Coyote seem to be in. Ok, real talk: is everyone acting like this scene must be a shoujo anime reference, just because they both teenagers in school uniforms who are walking to school together?
Because if so, I am going to flip a table, a swear to God. School uniforms exist independently from Japan!! Sometimes a couple of British teenagers can just walk to freaking private school together, without it being an anime reference!!!

It is quite odd when school uniforms are hardly new to GkC... though I suppose it has been some time since any of the characters have actually worn one... Would it have been somewhere around chapter sixty-six last? 2018? Zimmy's last appearance in one may have been in chapter thirty-eight in 2012. Years of casual clothes and holiday homework have led the readership astray.

I'm still waiting to see what genre we're in. I strongly doubt it'll be an anime type but if it is there's a number of hilarious possibilities.

And in fact a man carrying a chainsaw would seem especially at place in a forest. Nevertheless, it’s easy to imagine a scene which would include some dude with chainsaw in a forest, but would obviously be a slasher movie reference first and foremost, whether lumberjacks are involved or not.
