This page looks familiar. I think I saw it on the side of a saloon in 1903

This means she is dead, BUT Bugsy wont give a duck because that was not happening to HER.

BUT Bugsy wont give a duck I am curious as to why do you think Bugsy wont give a duck. I mean, my guess consists of “because she did not screech and leap at least 1/4 of her height up” and “many people in this thread are used to Disney grade histrionics to the point of permanently distorted perception”… but hey, there’s always hope for the unexpected.

I guess everyone including teacher has been drained... students looked tired where last time in magic land/aether they were crazy energetic...
drained means brain processing things like death is delayed, like if someone was drunk.
may also be risk to "fire girl" who isn't noticing yet because bigger fuel tank of magic. we had hints Loop feared it could destroy him.
Kat may go crazy if best friend life also in danger. something is going to happen for zimmy to end up dead and Kat to need to do more time travel with Nords.
possible foreshadowing by early zimmy goes crazy till Jones gets aether reverse at collecting stations during spider jack arc.
possible Omega wants Kat to go crazy as part of plan to cut off new world from old.

Redoing my post about this page because a previously missing page has been inserted before it.
Bugsy just explained that she was sleeping because it seemed to her that everyone else was too, after the distortion passed through. Annie asks whether she noticed anything else strange, but she hasn't really. Annie takes her to the other classroom and shows her the apparently dead student and tells her that her spirit is gone. Bugsy seems confused, ending the page with "And this means ..." Tom's comment is "It means ..."
So is Bugsy saying "And this means ..." in the sense that she really doesn't understand what it means, or is she implying that there's nothing unusual about this? Or is she going to continue by saying what it means? But speculating about a sentence just begun is a bit silly considering we could wait for the rest of the sentence, which presumably will be on the next page.

Sorry, I should have mentioned where I saw Tom had posted about the wrong page. Of course, many are no longer using ex Twitter, so the source isn't as obvious. Despite Musk, I'm still finding ex-Twitter useful, and tolerable, from using 'Control Panel for Twitter' a Firefox add-on that filters out the ads and algorithmic gibberish. Restores the icon as well. I'm from Brazil. Twitter is outlawed (and blocked) here.

And this means... either something sinister, or Bugsy is as clueless as she is incurious. both if you had nefarious plans for kids, of course you'd appoint the least observant or studious person as a teacher kid supervisor

I wonder if Bugsy's lack of reaction has do with the possibility (or at least a belief on Bugsy's part) that all these kids are still preserved in their totems? Very possible that physical death doesn't mean much when the court can just grow you a new body/your physical form is hollow by default regardless.

This makes sense to me, I've been operating under the impression that they are all already dead before getting human bodies and only "alive" because of magic and Coyote. I think what we've seen are basically just avatars.
