The distortion will make a Paz appear isn't it? I hope not. That would just be a painful complication to watch happen.

Kat hasn't learned anything, has she? Saying this right in front of a bunch of fanatics just waiting to twist her words again.
Next page: The Seraphs take off to kidnap Paz and bring her there. (That would be the good version. The bad version would be they take off to punish her for causing the Angel to become less effective.)

We might see her summon a Paz, like that time Annie summoned a Jeanne. I suggest this rather than the "fanatic robot fetch quest" because robots have generally been unable to leave the court, but I suppose some restrictions may be relaxed now with the court leaving. Or they might just override their instructions to make their queen happy. Goddess, whatever.

A fake Paz might be worse than a real one. Imagine Kat opening up to her, then coming in for an embrace, only for her to *poof*
because this Paz only reflects Kat's feelings toward her.
=
it's obvious that she needs somebody to talk to who isn't Shadow or a crazy cult robot, so it would be pretty bad if that idle thought led to a Paz, real or not.

Robot is a slug made of computer components right now, right?

One of the NP seeds choose to look like a carbon copy of Paz

Robot is a slug made of computer components right now, right? Well...he's made of SOMETHING, that's for sure. Considering how Zimmy's powers work, I suspect that it may be more accurate to say that he's made out of the ground-up slurry of the CONCEPT of computer components, reshaped into something more closely resembling his internal self-image, which happens to be a slug. Which is not a sentence I ever thought I would ever be compelled to type out in my lifetime, but here we are!
Thankfully, Kat seems to be moments away from realizing that she may or may not have some experience with hacking weird magic stuff that's been reshaped into a facsimile of technology - not only once, but twice, even! Granted, this isn't exactly the same kind of situation as either of those ones, but there might be some transferable skills.

Kat turns her attention to the "other things to think about." She says that most of her equipment is intact, not going into detail about which bits are or aren't. However, the SeedPUs that Annie and the NP brought back are still ... seeds. Their forms haven't changed since the distortion began. And Robot still looks like some kind of color-gradient centipede; Kat don't know what to do with any of this. In front of a split-screen background where Annie sees creepy pseudo-Gothic architecture (probably in the RotD), Kat only sees cheap paper Halloween decorations.
She thinks, then looks back at Shadow and the Seraphs, who are listening but don't seem to have anything to say. Then she laughs and says she misses Paz. Her current audience largely doesn't know what she's talking about; Paz would have known.
Tom's comment: "It's natural." He's probably going for a double meeting there; it's natural for Kat to miss Paz, but also, the CPUs becoming seeds and Robot's CPU or possibly main board becoming a centipede-like creature have become "natural" (organic) as well.

Robot is a slug made of computer components right now, right? I think the blue part is his special chip. And since that's mechanical that's his head and he can't speak because Zimmy doesn't speak computer and coyote has to choose to speak it

Unfortunately, being Kat, she is going to describe it under something like “Note on continuum branch distortion investigations with the etherette grating” and nobody will find the important part until long after someone else will build a relevant theory?
