Just when I convinced myself there was no real reason for Annie rushing in...
Look at her, though. She looks ready to kick some buttock.
And then she looks so sad thinking about good ol' original Robot. Absolutely lovely expressions here.
(also: aww, poor boxbot! I'll bet Kat doesn't mind him.)

I imagined Boxbot with Hans Moleman's voice for some reason. This is wierd because I never imagine voices when I read.

So now we know what Annie was coming in to see Kat about.
I was particularly amused by Boxbot's "awww" line. I hope that Annie apologizes to him afterwards.
Incidentally, Annie really looks like a dashing heroic figure in Panel #2.
(Side-note: after the Halloween and Christmas art that we'd gotten late last year, I was more than half-expecting Tom to post a piece of Valentine's Day Art as well. I wonder what a Janet and Winsbury-themed Valentine would be like - no, on second thought, that's another thing that I'm probably better off not knowing....)

The second panel makes me giggle every time I see it. I saw... ROBOTS! Also, YAY FOR ROOMBAS. I want one so bad. They're kind of cute, don't you think? I saw a commercial for them once, at a Sharper Image store. One of the ladies in it was talking in this awed, astounded voice, with wide eyes. "I was given a small, disk-like object for my birthday... and... it cleaned my living room." |
