So, she can't find the people who could hit the brakes on the Distortion, and possibly bring her humanoid body fun times to an end?
Convenient.

The last two pages of Meg really remind me of this guy's fruitfly energy.

I am downgrading the already remote possibility that Omega is actually an avatar of Coyote. Jolly Elfsberry had much more chill.

I diagnose that Omega has about a century of frivolous impulsiveness to catch up on. For now, just steer her clear of the achewater, Annie.

Well, now we know how far off track Omega has gone since she lost perfect futuresight. Completely doo-lally.
Liking Tony?!?!

Yeah, she may not have had an emotionally intimate conversation in the 100+ years since she was disembodied. I wonder if she's talked directly with Tony before? Well, that was fast. I'm still rooting for Jones, myself. Most people like Tony when they're alone with him, and Omega knows how everyone is when they're alone. Besides, as she said, he resembles Charles: introverted, bookish and an incredibly devoted partner.

I wonder how fast Tony will recognize her. He's spent a lot of his life researching that "blasted Omega Device" at least.
I am imagining how the two of them bwip in and Omega is just like "Howdyedo Tony, it's me, look at this snazzy new body I made myself!" and he just says "Hello Omega, Antimony."

Glad to see that everyone is on-board the Omega and Tony Sitting in a Tree
bandwagon. I am VERY curious if Tom is going to let them meet or not.

Next frame is Annie cringing intensely as she tries to reconcile her mental image of this Charles person with her father.

Looks like Annie might be getting a stepmother soon! Or at least some darned uncomfortable moments. BTW that wasn't meant to be a smartass remark. Miss Omega is a good match for Tony. She is either 0 persons or 1, depending on how you look at it, so he should find it much easier to interact with her than, say, his daughter. She is also already very much an Annie fan, and I'm guessing she will get along just fine with Kat and Donald after the obligatory initial misunderstandings. Anja too really. Tony may even already know about her! I mean that she is a her rather than just a mechanism.
We'll have to wait and see how this goes but I'm actually somewhat excited to see the Tony/Omega interaction.

I don't have any specific evidence for this, but I wonder if Tony wasn't involved in helping her get an NP form? If ANYONE were aware of Omega and talking to her/helping her, I'd put my money on Tony.
I agree with your point about them meeting for the first time though. Even if they were talking before, it would have been via keyboard/monitor. Kat is the only one who talks to tech w/o stuff like that.
Maybe not though. It may be that Omega knows about Tony but not the other way around. I mean Omega as a 100+ year old woman, not Omega as a computer, of course. I'm still not convinced that the current Court even knows about that. Maybe the Inner Circle, whoever that is...

"Tony" and not "Anthony," huh? www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=1015They're either on speaking terms already, or Omega likes calling people by their nicknames because nicknames are sticky. (I am like this — or was — nicknames are for friends, and for use by awkwardly neurodivergent teens who don't know better and embarrass themselves). Even though she has demonstrated a lack of boundaries already, my hunch with Omega is option 1.

I feel like Omegs sees basically all people as her Blorbos Shipping's probably a lot more fun now that her spoiler powers have gone haywire, too. No more decades spent waiting for the inevitable Boxbot harem ending. They're either on speaking terms already, or Omega likes calling people by their nicknames because nicknames are sticky. Well, we call the GC characters by their nicknames, even though we've never met them. Voyeurism is just one-way friendship! Do not make this argument in court.

Annie at the beginning of the page: "Earlier today, I thought we settled the matter with the omnipotent creature with no moral limits. Now, I have a omniscient being with no personal boundaries. I hope this one doesn't take months to find a partner and get off my back." Annie at the end of the page: "Wait! I take it back!"
Actually, going for Tony is not the worst scenario for Annie. Omega may have wished to meet Cvet. "Join me and together we can figure out who's Annie's crush."

I didn't catch this at first, but Omega has been watching Annie quite closely since her non-death. She knows who her friends are and not just her closest friends, like Kat! William Winsbury is sort of a deep cut, isn't he? I mean, he isn't really part of her inner circle, compared to Parley (who was a fellow medium student and who helped with Jeanne).
Speaking of William, it's slightly interesting that he didn't leave for the stars. Maybe because Janet wasn't invited?

After being put off by Omega's sudden manic attention, Annie is finally nonplussed and backs away. She finally starts to ask Omega some questions. Annie asks whether she can see other things within the distortion as she saw Robot, and Omega replies that the distortion is a much smaller space than the entire world, but it's very chaotic, so there's a lot she can't see. Apparently Zimmy, Coyote, and Loup are "hidden" from her. But Omega gets that manic look in her eye again and suggests that she can find Annie's friends and family – Parley, Winsbury, and Tony are her suggestions. Annie asks whether her father's OK, and Omega replies that he is and suggests that they go see him, taking hold of Annie's wrist. Omega says that she likes Tony because he reminds her of Charles.
Presumably what we'll see next is Omega taking Annie to see Tony. It'll be good for Tony to know that Annie's all right, but ... err ... Tony's been working on the "Omega Device" for some time, believing her to be a machine, when in fact she's the remains of a person. I have to wonder what this is going to be like.

Oh, Janet was invited, but she either didn't get the invitation (perhaps her dad's political enemies intercepted it to embarrass him) or refused to come, much to her father's chagrin. That probably means William didn't go either. Of course, we weren't told that the ship had left before the distortion hit, so it probably hadn't, so even those who were going to leave are probably stuck in the distortion now.
