So is she in some sort of coma (whether willingly entered or caused maliciously by others who wanted to harm her) or self-induced hypnosis? I doubt she's asleep at this point because most people wake up if someone shifts their body enough and picking someone up would definitely do that.

Scene cuts to a lightning hitting a tower, an antenna. Inside, the girl lays on a table in what is clearly a medieval laboratory. By her side the guy yells frenetically "She's alive! SHE'S ALIVE!!", all the while the raven striking his head yells "I was already alive, you moron!!".

That scrolling detail in the lower right corner seems to indicate a coda of sorts. I'm guessing on Friday we'll see whether his pain-relief is of the straightforward or the monkey's paw variety.
If it's the latter, I have another guess that some early reflection of Gunnerkrigg's "flesh (earth/emotion/superstition) is treacherous, the mind (man-made/rationale/empiricism) is supreme" credo presents itself. The inverse of Renard's "the mind is the plaything of the body."
You can't be in pain if we replace/augment the parts that would hurt you, free up that brain to do its wonderful works*. Give you the old Mondassian razzle-dazzle.

Just noticed the little curlicue in the bottom right corner that was also there on the top left corner of page 1. End of chapter? Or just end of flashback?
Edit: Damn, bicarbonat beat me to it! 😆

He just takes Zimmy's mom like that? Mom always be sleeping Kid always be awake I don’t think she’s Zimmy’s mom. If I recall correctly, Word of God was that Zimmy’s parents were ordinary humans, and Omega is quite…extraordinary.

"I knew you would understand", yet from the previous page, it seems like this is his first arrival. Does Protomega see through animals or is it more remote viewing? She's so tiny.

This feels like a bit of a reach, but if Omega talks through birds, and they converted parts of her into a machine... could the Ornithonics be eyes of Omega?

So the man is most likely the artilleryman. The woman could be an ancestor of Zimmy or might be someone who became Omega. He intends to take her away. If he is the Artilleryman is he trying to protect her from the Court? And is his failure to prevent the Court's murder of Jeanne relevant to his motivation here?

If he is the Artilleryman is he trying to protect her from the Court? And is his failure to prevent the Court's murder of Jeanne relevant to his motivation here? Alternatively, if he is the artilleryman, perhaps he took her away and created the court as a way to protect her from others. That would make him the primary driving force behind the court's creation and explain why the court is named after him and not one of the other founders. Would also help explain why the court's in a pocket universe. That way it's difficult to impossible for non-court members to reach the court without help from someone already part of it, so the people harming/using Omega at this point in time couldn't reach her again. If so, doesn't seem like it worked out, since the current court seems to be using her to power their device that'll allow them to leave Earth for a non-etheric planet.

Blond man and bird. Are they Matt Murdock & pigeon from that 772 page with Parley's Jeanne-induced vision??

Y'all...Our first sight of Omega was the skeleton in repsoe with all kinds of wires and stuff attached and integrated. Then we see Omega in human form, also in repose, but we're shown that she can externalize her consciousness.
So is Omega still alive despite her skeletal state???

Panel 2 shows a pointy left ear but panel 6 shows a rounded right ear. Is she human or one of the tree elves? Did Jeanne and her green lover have a secret kid?!
Or is it just a Shadow? 😎

Or is it just a Shadow? 😎 I think her hair is obscuring part of her left ear from that angle. On page 2933 you can see that both ears are round. Good catch nonetheless!
