Ah, my mother brought it to me at college.... what a beautiful piece of work. Truly, it is one of the nicest books in my not-inconsiderable library. Thank you, Tom. Thank you.

Mine was ordered through my comic shop about two weeks ago... I am becoming impatient, although haven't been waiting forever like some.

I see Archaia are listing 'Orientation' as O/A (offered again) in the current Diamond Previews, hopefully that will catch a few readers outside the regular fanbase.

That's interesting. Does that mean it's listed in Previews again as available?

It's February's edition of Previews , so that should mean that the book's due in stores in April. They might even manage to send you some copies this time round.

Ah, then it must be the Titan edition of the book. Yeah, I heard it might be out in April. No news about my copies, however. No news on anything, actually. This thread, the comments and a few emails are the only way I can tell people are actually buying the book.

I got my copy today and it looks fantastic - can't see any obvious problems. I'm in the UK and I ordered it from Play.com on Sunday. Amazon.co.uk apparently still don't have it.

I got my copy about a week ago - It looks great - I thought adding the highlights in peoples eyes in the first couple chapters was a nice touch.
It also looks slick without the dust cover.
I haven't read the comic through since last year - so it's fun to run through it again.

Ordered a copy of the book from a nearby (Canadian) comic shop and received it recently, but 20 some odd pages are duplicated, missing the pages that should be in their place (of course). I told them I had a misprint and they reordered it for me...It seems like it's just a few in a bunch.
Other than the misprint though, the book looks absolutely gorgeous--much better than I expected. There's really no comparison between reading it online and seeing it on paper. Will order the second, whenever it comes out.

Purchased a copy from Amazon.com a few weeks ago, received it at work and productivity promptly slumped off to 0. The production quality of the book was gorgeous, and after, ahem... thorough inspection I can safely say that there were no binding problems.
I'll be showing my copy to friends that are coming over tonight, and I'm sure at least one of them will want to order a copy immediately.
Cheers!

Hey, long time reader (actually since the 1st or 2nd chapter I believe) first time poster. I Got a copy of the book, and I found it on the shelf of my local Humungo Comics. It was just sitting there, so I went up and bought it right there, haha. It's pretty shiny, says "First Printing" on the inside cover. Really high quality stuff!

Hi I just registered to say that I got my copy today (via amazon). I live in Berlin, in case anybody is doing graphs or something on the global spreading of the book. And now, all I want to know is: O GOD WHEN CAN I HAVE THE NEXT BOOK. Please. (Oh they will look so good in my shelf...)

Also registered to mention I got it, though I got it at NYCC, not online. Dunno if it was you or not, but whoever sold it to me was so nice! Really, thank you! It seems to all be in order. It's a very pretty book and, of course, a great comic.

Book's waiting for me at the post office, Amazon was quite fast after all once I figured to order from a seller that actually still had the book. Hooray.

I bought 5 copies of the book, all on Amazon (one on Amazon, CA). All but one of the people who I bought the book for have recieved it and I have also recieved my copy.
I was pleasantly suprised and how high the quality of the production of this book was. I've bought many hardcovers from ASP, and some have had printing errors, and many have been thin.
This book is well bound, is printed very well and cleanly on excellent quality paper and is simply gorgeous. An absolute steal on Amazon.

You don't get a free copy for contributing to the comic so I bought one.

Am I blind, or what? Only saw the link leading to the book 10 minutes ago. In the last minute, I ordered the book through Amazon Germany, read through this thread and signed up.
Thank you in advance, Mr. Siddell!
This will be my girlfriend's present on Saturday - even though she never reads comics. And yeah, I'll probably get a copy of my own. And one each for my siblings. And my group of good friends. And that guy I met the other day at the cafeteria... ;D

It's mine! And no misprints! (weell, except for the 287/288 thing) It's so... pretty!!! Incidentally, when I first put in my (second) order, Chapters told me they were temporarily out of stock. But I think they were lying to me as an excuse to ship slow. I think I'm gonna request this for my public library. =D But who am I kidding, they automatically purchase best-sellers anyway!

Amazon.co.uk have just emailed me to say that after re-pre-ordering (is that a word?) twice over the last four months or so, my copy of the book's finally on its way. Hurrah!

Good news, the copies I ordered have arrived. They seem to have suffered no scuffs or scrapes in shipping, a quick leaf through reveals no obvious flaws. It's heavier than I had anticipated, and I must say the hard cover is quite appealing. The switched pages everyone mentions are still present, but do not cause significant disruption. The colors seem richer in print than on my monitor, so perhaps my monitor ought to be recalibrated.
You do good work, Tom. You seem to have forgone the practice of putting the author's photograph on the back flap of the dust cover. Hoping to cultivate an air of mystery, or just shy?

Got my copy from New England Comics near Boston (they had to bounce their copy between stores to get it to me). It looks wonderful, and the printing is spectacular, but I miss Tom's Little Comments (TLC) at the bottom of each page.
Y'know, there's something to be said for having to wait two or three days between pages that allows you to really scrutinize and appreciate the artwork and writing on each page. With a book containing all of the story at your fingertips, the urge is to rush through to get on to the next exciting page.
This kind of thing is especially noticeable with a site/comic like Platinum Grit, where each panel (not each page) becomes its own image that you have to click through to get to the next panel. It becomes much more like viewing a movie instead of reading a book.
On the other hand, I *love* the book. Thanks, Tom!

I received mine today - actually yesterday, but it went to my parents house instead of my dorms. I also miss the TLC (which also stands for Tender Loving Care, if memory serves), but they are right at my fingertips anyway, whenever I'm on a computer.
Hopefully, like a box-set of Firefly I'll be able to use this to proselytize the comic to friends!

One of my copies was faulty (some excess paper on 2 pages had folded back and torn the pages), so my comic book guy was going to return it and get a replacement. This week Diamond got in touch to say they'd send a replacement and to destroy the faulty copy. So that's a free reading copy and a shiny new copy to give away sorted. Does anyone know a small retailer who would actually destroy a perfectly readable book?
