I've already made my guesses public but I'll restate and add the reasoning in brief. 1. I think it's most likely to be Zeta (Zimmy) because we've seen similar stuff in the comic before; I think this time she's lost herself in either the noobs in general or Lana in particular though that doesn't explain the height difference... but it could be Zeta always wanted to be taller therefore her noob form is tall. 2. Zoob being Gamma would explain the height difference but not the appearance, however it could be a result of the collision or that Zeta's disguised her to keep her safe. Gamma speaking English is a problem, but also one that the distortion can explain away (like it can explain away literally anything else). 3. I've been expecting some sort of move from Aata. Kat's doing really big stuff and however little Shell may or may not have told him I know he'd want to know more. It's more likely for him to send Shell, as she's been there before and can be easily convinced that it was her idea (thus giving Aata plausible deniability) but I suspect he's gotten his hooks into Jenny from the way Jenny's been acting. Shell being Zoob explains the height difference, Jenny being Zoob explains the Zimmyish appearance. Again, both of those theories have problems but they can be explained away by the abilities of the people involved or by the distortion.
Since I can't narrow down my choice to less than three I'll enable up to three guesses. If you guess correctly using fewer than three guesses, award yourself bonus points as appropriate.
I've rolled some theories together because of similarity (either of identity, background assumptions, or other criteria) and to save space on the answer list. For example, I combined Shell and Jenny into the same choice because the reasoning behind guessing either is similar, even though it makes a big difference which one it actually is to the plot. Anyway, it should increase the likelihood of correct answers.
In a shocking display of bias I've ordered the choices by how much I like them. That means the farther down the list the correct answer is, the more quatloos I have to cough up. I think I've included most all of them one way or another but if I've mucked up badly I'll delete and repost the poll.
Think that it's all a fake-out and the whole thing's some etheric balderdash? Choose J. Edgar Hoover if you think Zoob's a Nobody or just a nobody (not a real person).
