Very convenient. Update: I hope this isn't where this is going.

I just noticed, she has grey eyes.
Who wants to bet she's actually just an ex-fairy who's pretending to be a new person, because it's cool?
Or heck, maybe she somehow turned into a new person instead of a human, because Zimmy.

Have we confirmed Robot’s location? No reason to suspect it’s him but the sudden appearance of Shadow does trigger the association…

Timing, Shadow. Read the room.

Oh hey Shadow. Haven't seen you in a while.
Very inconvenient timing there. Or extremely convenient, either from (Coyote/ Loup/ Zimmy) or Tom's POV, if you want Raven there to escape further interrogation.
EDIT: Given the chapter's title, I can't help but pay attention to Shadow's "horns."

After seeing the strange metal and bone machine in some kind of decrepit state, we're ... suddenly back to exactly where we were at the end of the previous chapter, with Annie holding onto the arm of the Mystery New Person and Renard on the other side of her. Annie opens her eyes and gives her a steely gaze; the Mystery NP looks around nervously for a way out, and then someone shouts Annie's name.
It's Shadow 2! He's running toward Annie in a state of apparent distress. The camera has a Dutch angle. This is a surprise, and even the Mystery NP looks surprised, so this may not be a situation where she's manipulated events to her liking; it may be that she just lucked out.
But what's got Shadow 2 so upset? What's going on? Something to do with Robot? Something else going on? Maybe the distortion's doing something even weirder? Is it related to the sorry state of affairs at the Gears and Bones Factory? Or ... not? I've got too many weird ideas to even write down.

I'm probably mistaken, but somehow I get the feeling that this Shadow 2 is the fake this time. It's probably because he's reminding me of fake Teddy Renard last time.

► | Fake Shadow | | 1. Newest Person takes the chance to slip 2. They all get distracted until the fake is exposed as not being real at all 3. They all get distracted until the fake is exposed as someone they know 4. Newest Person turns out to be the real Shadow
|
► | Red herring, he's the real one | | 1. Something urgent happened (maybe involving Robot), and Newest Person takes the chance to slip 2. Something urgent happened (maybe involving Robot), and Newest Person takes the chance to help 3. Something urgent happened (maybe involving Robot), and Shadow recognizes who Newest Person really is/are 4. Shadow was just worried by the situation, and he recognizes who Newest Person really is/are |

Is anybody else thinking that the previous page is a semi-metaphorical representation of Dark Haired Girl's inner nature?

"Who are you? The comic needs to introduce more characters now we're in the end game!" If things go the same as with One Piece, we still have a handful of new characters ahead of us. Is anybody else thinking that the previous page is a semi-metaphorical representation of Dark Haired Girl's inner nature? Those are Annie's inner workings. They can reconfigure, which explains the changing shape of her head.

"Who are you? The comic needs to introduce more characters now we're in the end game!" This is how people were when they started reading The Return of the King, "Saruman is super defeated, all the armies are rapidly converging into one giant heap, there's what, five chapters to go, we're in the frigging endgame and you're introducing Gondoranians? You couldn't have introduced these ghosts in any previous chapter? MOUTH OF SAURON WHAT IS EVEN HIS DEAL"
But then when the 14-chapter Shelob-Gollum-Pippin merger arc rolled along everyone was kind of numb to it.
