This mask was used for the character of Yzengrin in a play based on the medieval story of Van den vos Reynaerde.
This play was performed in Belgium in 1973, so exactly 50 years ago now, which is why the museum decided to show it again in a temporary exposition.

This looks more like coyote, if you ask me.
