I think they mainly went to the Court because of free food, no questions asked and no attendance mandatory in class.

yeah, he doesn't seem important, which is why I'm paranoid that if/ when Annie is revealed to be (not Annie), Rey = Coyote.

Annie and Renard walk through a cityscape rendered in three-point perspective, buildings towering over them and seeming to lean toward each other. The Sun and full Moon are both in the sky, right next to each other – or it looks like them, anyway. At least five New People follow Annie and Renard.

Then there's an unusual perspective, looking from a viewpoint low to the ground in order to see both Renard and Annie's faces. Renard says that this doesn't look like the Court as Annie looks up at the buildings. She replies that it has a Zimmyness to it and that the buildings aren't quite right. There's an overlook that has toothlike crenelations, and an archway whose keystones look like teeth as well.

Annie turns to the New People and cautions them to stay close and not wander off. We see the five NP whom we've seen before, but now there are more behind them, at least six more.

The unusual color blotches continue, which might be what Tom's referring to in his comment that the color overlay is different too.
