It looks like Kat has unwittingly stuffed up Coytote's ability to make predictions just as Annie did with the Cour's Omega Device, albeit not in the same way. Coyote seems to have had no idea that Kat would turn the robots into androids who would interact with humans and elves in a quite different way to the robots. The robots were children. The New People are adolescents. No wonder he got it wrong. People have noted how Kat and Coyote have never met. The probable reason is that Coyote would immediately recognize what Kat is becoming and that would spoil the plot.

reminds me, from reading the Foundation series many years ago, of the prerecorded Seldon Vault message that was a failure of psychohistorical prophesying due to the unanticipated emergence of the Mule), EXACTLY THAT SELDON'S VAULT SITUATION WAS ON MY MIND WHEN I SAW THIS DEVELOPMENT!!! i can't believe I did not mention it before, I was so sure that I wrote about it, but I see it was only a false memory XDXD

Jerrek looks on as Coyote explains things to Annie. When he met her, he says, he knew she was the sort of person Ysengrin would respect. He made sure to provide plenty of opportunities for them to interact. We see an interesting drawing of early Annie in panel 2, and panel 3 has the look of Coyote's allegorical storytelling panels.
