I actually was going to use "get lost" as the title of this thread before I remembered that there was a chapter called that.

"Well, this is the part where he kills Loup." "Hullo, this is the part where I kill Loup!"
Chapter 90: The Part Where He Kills Loup
Achievement Unlocked: The Part Where He Kills Loup. (This is that part)

This kinda sounds like Coyote somehow anticipated the whole Lana situation. Either because he managed to make it happen, which might mean mind controlling Lana and Loup, and I don't really get how you can have a plot when there's no clear limit to mind control. Or because he just saw the future, in which case I wouldn't can it having a plan rather than just reading the script

Comparing Annie's spirit guide technique with Tea's. I think Annie might need a little chat with Tea before it comes to that.

Coyote: Dead and Loving It.

Dead people always have to be the center of attention. I don't think I've ever been to a funeral, that didn't revolve around the dead person. Everyone else's chairs are turned to face them. Everyone is supposed to come up to see them. Sometimes, there's even a TV showing a video collage of photos of them.
Come to think of it,Coyote would love that.

It's been a while since we got a good, full look at Tea, especially cleaned up and not looking like a Blitz survivor. I like this look, both in terms of new hairstyle and looking like part of the regular comic. * Also, makes for funnier cartoon reactions to Coyote's sudden intervention. I mean, he is a God, he's basically the Gunnerkrigg Q/ Discord (which gives me an interesting weird new idea for his voice, if I didn't already imagine him as Him from the Powerpuff Girls)

Coyote would prefer a wake inside, just one big ole party. You celebrate the deceased, sure, but mainly everyone's getting drunk and having fun. During lulls in the party, Coyote's would probably come alive again long enough to say something amusing, then drop dead again.

Coyote: "It is all part of my plan."
The plan: "Just make it up along the way."

Coyote: "It is all part of my plan." The plan: "Just make it up along the way." Step 1: Get somebody to kill me and eat me Step 2: Brag about how clever I am Step 3: ? (do whatever the hell I want haha)
Step 4: Profit

Ive been thinking for a while if Coyete just wanted to die couldn't his plan have been.....better? I can accept that he can't just will himself dead or the goose thing would have worked, I can even accept he needed to merge with another animal/magic animal to really die, but why choose someone so unlikely to kill you in most circumstances? Like, even if it needs to be a good or somewhat netrual person who kills him I can think of much better candidates. James is an obvious one for example. Annie just seems like an astoundingly bad choice if your goal is to actually die...
Unless you need to die in a very specific way.

I think Coyote's plan also involved doing something about Ysengrin's misanthropic attitude along the way. After all, where's the fun in just dying?

It's decided, then. The next chapter will absolutely, without a doubt, be called "Chapter 90: Coyote Knew This Would Happen".

Annie just seems like an astoundingly bad choice if your goal is to actually die... Unless you need to die in a very specific way. If Coyote can't just will himself genuinely dead, then Ysengrin with the bulk of Coyote's power can't will himself genuinely dead. I suspect that the reason Coyote so carefully managed the relationship between Ysengrin and Antimony is so that "Loup" would allow Antimony to kill him if the scene was set correctly. Antimony's particular abilities have probably already played a general role in that if she wasn't potentially powerful and etherically attractive Ysengrin probably wouldn't have taken an interest in her at all. Her specific abilities may yet prove useful but I don't see a need for that to happen for the plan to work. She has enough things in common with Ysengrin that she'll help unravel him psychologically so that he'll want to die when the time comes. One area she could stand improvement will be hesitation when the time to actually swing the knife comes, which Coyote acknowledges and is why "Loup" will have to force her hand, but that goes with the territory. It might be more useful if Antimony didn't care about potentially killing Ysengrin/Loup/Jerrek but if she didn't then he/they would be much less likely to care about her, and might not let her kill him/them. If Eglamore tried to horn in at the crescendo of the final act I think "Loup" would just kill him. It doesn't matter how much he wanted to die, he just wouldn't let Eggers do it. Other people would have a better chance of succeeding but it would still be a crapshoot. Better to force Antimony to do it. The real question is if Antimony has had enough character development to bring this macabre play to a better conclusion that might otherwise be.

Odds on the next chapter actually being called "Coyote knew this would happen!"?

Odds on the next chapter actually being called "Coyote knew this would happen!"? Hoping for another 1-2 page fakeout like chapter 55. Opens with a completely unrelated scene then he gets chased out again by an even angrier Tea.

In this bonus page, Tea is looking at the script and asking whether we're doing "this" here (perhaps referring to the reappearance of Coyote, or to the predicted third appearance of Coyote's echo, at least). She asks whether Coyote can do "that" (I guess meaning that he can emerge from Jerrek's body as he just did?).
Then Coyote appears in Tea's non-diegetic space, marking the first time I can think of that he's interacted with her. She's annoyed and wants him to leave. Coyote says that "this" was part of his plan, that he knew "it" was going to happen, and that the next chapter should be called "Coyote Knew This Would Happen." Tea refuses to do this as she shoves Coyote out the door.
