"And lo, the Angel did teleport the precious CPUs of our loved ones in a burst of lightning, which fried over half of them. Thus did we learn that reenacting Chrono Trigger is always Worth It."

Kat. Find a way to solve this walking thing you do Heh! It had only just occurred to me that Kat can't teleport herself (yet), and here is this comment.

Alternate thread title: Chips Ahoy! Which leads on to the 'Scoops Ahoy!' ice cream franchise from Stranger Things 3. (Kat even has the uniform shirt!)

I get a distinct impression that Kat is somewhat oblivious about how the people see her. (though maybe not quite Emprah-grade dense — «Whaaattttt, you think I’m a God? What made you think that? Was it my unbelievable psychic might? My golden halo of divine light? My perfect physique out of a legend of gods of old? Well here. How about I make my halo brighter, and have it instill a feeling of absolute awe in you? There. I bet you think I’m a mortal man now!»)Heh! It had only just occurred to me that Kat can't teleport herself (yet) Why? She moved Annie and Paz to her pocket factory and back. Presumably she visits it herself, too. Her teleport may be the same effect.

Leaving Annie, Rey, Jerrick, and Lana to awkwardly stand around. Lana: "Thank the Angel our jumpsuits have pockets. I wouldn't know what do with my hands in these situations."

Why the big rush? It's not as if the CPUs will die if not given prompt treatment... right?

Why the big rush? It's not as if the CPUs will die if not given prompt treatment... right? No. But one they've been MIA for awhile and friends/family will want them back. Two the Court's leadership is channeling very unsettling things right now. You can evacuate chips you can't evacuate robots buried in wood.

On this page, we see Kat doing exactly what she said she was going to do, and we're taking our eyes off Jerrek, Lana, Annie, and Renard. Looking rather hurried, Kat runs over to a New Person who is holding a number of recovered robot CPUs in his hands. We see a robot chassis on the ground with its head open and its CPU removed. We see a New Person holding a tray of CPUs, another New Person in the background.
Then we see some establishing shots: a hazy sky above the ruins, then a clear blue sky over Kat's workshop. Are they far enough apart that it could be getting toward sunset in the ruins while it's not yet at the workshop? Or does the star ocean affect that? Anyway, at the workshop, a New Person watches while multiple cases of CPUs materialize there, and then we see Kat directing various New People to help her with all these incoming chips.
Why is Kat handling this so urgently? It's true that each of these CPUs represents a unique individual, a life she can save. But she's been handling them a few at a time for a while now; surely they can't come to harm inside the boxes. What's wrong with continuing to embody them a few at a time? She's just got a larger backlog than before (assuming she had a backlog before). Perhaps she doesn't know how much time she's got left before the Court stops her, deliberately (sending a force of Shadow Men and/or new robots to shut her down) or not (activating the star ocean and causing who knows what side effects).
But my real question is why we're following this. We're seeing Kat do what she said she'd do. What's going on back in the ruins? What's the conversation between Annie, Renard, Jerrek, and Lana? Is Annie going to have to use that garage door remote? The only answer I can think of about why we're following this instead of that is ... nothing's going to happen in the ruins. Something's going to happen here. Are the Shadow Men going to come try to shut Kat down? Is there going to be a battle? Or is Robot going to slow things down, insisting on interviewing each of the rescued robots personally so he can ensure that only Angel-loyal robots are embodied (I'm still suspicious of him)? Will that conflict come to the fore? Will the Seraphs show up to do something weird?

Maybe she's distracting herself from something. "Surely, if I make her a shiny enough new person, she'll return my love?" Come to think of it, another funny thing that will almost certainly never be in the comic would be if one or more recently-found Noobmans decided she/they wanted their new bod(ies) to resemble Paz so as to comfort and/or woo the previously-moping Angel. The reason I wrote "almost certainly" is because there was that key chain last chapter...

Wanting to evolve all the robots quickly seems more like a Robot goal than a Kat goal. As others have said, what's the hurry? According to that one golem robot, time doesn't pass for a robot while its powered down (dead)...
