They have multiple things they could tell Kat, actually.

From Kat's reaction it seems that it isn't just that they ran away weirdly from Annie, but they've been missing ever since. Loup's been keeping them sequestered elsewhere!

The big reveal requires a phone booth. Preferably one without glass panels. Surely Kat has an old police box lying around somewhere?

Wonder how they found info. A blue dog helped? A woman in a red trench coat and hat?

Actually, I'm a little concerned: if Jerrek does do a 'Surprise!' switcheroo to demonstrate the news, will Loup's persona reassert itself? (as per Rey's theory of psyche being soma's playdoh)

Maybe, he'll do small demonstration that he's Loup. A full transformation might be a little alarming, especially after he said he wanted them "alone".

I wonder if they'll tell the truth. Actually, I'm a little concerned: if Jerrek does do a 'Surprise!' switcheroo to demonstrate the news, will Loup's persona reassert itself? (as per Rey's theory of psyche being soma's playdoh) Based on this page, I don't think so: www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=2686Loup's crush on Lana occured when he was at least partially in Loup form and she accepted him as Loup, not as Jerrek. We can't consider Jerrek a completely made-up personality at this point. Maybe it has to do with the star ocean messing up with Loup when he got too close to it, or maybe Jerrek was always a little bit Loup. After all, Loup himself is a pretty new person. He's barely a few months old, despite having access to experiences much older than that, which is pretty similar to what Lana and the others are going through.

In the previous page's last two panels, Jerrek looked at Annie, then looked away – probably because he knows he's about to reveal that he's Loup and doesn't know how that's going to go. She's supposed to stab him to death, after all. Next, Jerrek says that he and Lana are here to give their condolences.
Kat is grateful but says it isn't really necessary, then starts to ask where they've been, but Lana interrupts, saying they have something to tell Kat. Jerrek adds that's news regarding Loup. Annie is surprised.
But Jerrek looks back at a window where there are more New People watching and suggests they talk somewhere more private. Kat looks at Annie, and Annie shrugs at her.
Where will they go? The café may have a back room with no windows, or they may go farther away, like their abandoned apartment building or something. Or it may be somewhere convenient for Robot to listen in, or maybe a tiny robot like Sky Watcher; we don't know whether he's still in robot form or whether he's got a New Person body.

Can't Loup just teleport them in another dimension for a while?

Kat takes Loup to her secret sever room, her eats her and absorbs her much like Ysengrin did Coyote. They fuse and this kills Loup, Kat and for the heck of it Zimmy. But we get a new character, an androgynous "nuhuman" with blue, red, brown and black hair. She is named Laty and is just way more fun then the three characters she is replacing.

Hopefully Annie doesn't have her temper rise up and impulsively try to roast Loup alive when he reveals himself. If things get ugly like that and Lana gets in the middle, she could get seriously hurt or die. Loup might lose complete control if the first person he's ever truly loved him and loved him in return ends up in a bad way.

Or it may be somewhere convenient for Robot to listen in, or maybe a tiny robot like Sky Watcher; we don't know whether he's still in robot form or whether he's got a New Person body. I would assume they are all about to visit Kat's server room, since Kat, Annie, and Paz were just there and Kat is probably still thinking about it. Not sure though. They could also just go to Kat's meatspace lab, over by the trailers, but I'm not sure if Kat can teleport people point to point or only to/from her manufacturing center. I don't think they'll just walk somewhere because then the fan club will just follow.
Annie can enter the ether at will, and so can Loup (but he doesn't want to reveal that quite yet). Kat still can't (as far as we know anyway) and Lana really shouldn't be able to, if she is really a NP and not Coyote or something. So they have to go somewhere physical, and Kat is the only porter that has revealed the capability.
Prediction: Kat takes them all to her place as guest users. At some suitably dramatic moment, Robot S13 appears, revealing he can use Kat's technology more than she expected.

And the last time she tried something like that, Loup didn't even break a sweat stopping her.
