The NP (one of them at least) certainly have a thing about flowing dresses.

Why is there a hot dog lurking behind the couch?

The NP (one of them at least) certainly have a thing about flowing dresses. Dress looks real symbolic of the ocean she gave them. This page probably explains the bunch of flowers in the chapter icon too, she's gonna have no end of NP wannabe suitors at a real bad time in her life.

"We shall build her a new one." A remake of 'Bride of Frankenstein'?

Also less creepy than Paz being slapped with some sort of Jezebel title; the evil seductress who tried to distract the angel from her work and then broke her heart by abandoning her when that failed.
'Love makes you act in strange ways' indeed, but this budding cult need less encouragement to kill and murder out of love and heartbreak than Diego left them with.

I'm starting to think this robot cult, as a collective, might be kinda creepy.

There's something going on with Kat's right hand. You can see the picture was made by AI, they never get the hands right.

Oh my... Kat is BEAUTIFUL here. No wonder robots see her as an angel!
Also i expect them to stay in line in order to propose their candidature for a new consort.
(I'm sure boxbot will try as well)

(This page made me laugh, such a dramatic way to say "her girlfriend dumped her") I kept expecting for this page to revolve into "a contest was held among the new people for a new consort to be selected", sad-princess-waiting-in-her-castle-fairy-tale-style. Maybe with the New People doing quests or participating in humorous feats of strength, while Kat remained blissfully unaware of why various ex-robots popped up to brag about their stonemasonry knowledge at random intervals, or why a whack-a-mole contest was held outside her house. Well, the night is still young, I can keep hoping! XD

Narrated by "J@ne Aust3n D1813"
I wonder how Lana will take this? Is Loup/Jerrik capable of learning something of lose, from the juxtaposition of his romantic life and Kat's? I think that's too much empathy for him, but he may find an example in Lana.

she is sadWell, not exactly. Birthing would be if the NPs flowed away from Kat. This is more like they are congregating for a cult. I don't remember the psycologist that said that churches doors are the most symbolic "entrances"... Also, not the first time they are there when she is sad

And so, on this the first page of the new chapter, did we see a tale told in allegory, with images of questionable realism but unquestionable artistry.
On a background resembling the clouds of the title image, is a red love seat with wood frame and gold trim, and Kat is not exactly reclining on it, more seemingly having slid off it. Her blue dress is disheveled but drawn with fantastic wrinkles and folds. That's hard to do. Well done, Tom! Kat leans back, despair on her face, one arm outstretched, the other lying limp. Below are a number of figures, possibly meant to be New People but lacking clothing, hair, or even differences in skin color. They are walking toward Kat as if her dress becomes a road lower down, and they vanish into a bright light in the distance.
Upon this scene there are narration boxes, rectangular with rounded corners, and containing black text on a slightly pinkish background. It's unclear who is narrating this story, but it seems to be told from the New People's perspective. They've heard that Kat's lost her "consort," they're lamenting, and they vow to pay homage, whatever that entails.
And then it says that the news has reached even those "hidden away." What that means we'll probably find out next time, but could it mean the robots still buried? How would they have found out about this? Kat does have a way to manipulate electric fields now, but does it work even without her conscious volition? Or there may be some sort of information network linking at least some of the robots. Or this may mean something different; the robots "hidden away" may mean the ones whose CPUs were in storage before the rise of Loup, the ones who attempted to leave the Court but were caught. But we'll probably find out pretty soon.

Still gives them an example of a better love story that the first time around. Less creepy than "we shall "acquire" her a new one" when thou seekst to pull maiden from git and accidentally publishes wench foorsooth Could be more mercurial about it to begin with. Also i expect them to stay in line in order to propose their candidature for a new consort. It could be just a dump of Court-mail quietly swept by spam filter, but no-o. That’s what she gets for not including network capability in those bodies.
