Ooh, Kat's innocent, blissfully unaware smile in panel 4 breaks my heart...

Bonus page Friday, new chapter page Monday, a week's wait to find out whether she goes through with it. As cliffhangers go it's not the worst the comic has seen but it's up there.
Also, the buried robots haven't all risen from the depths yet, so maybe even longer to see how this will resolve.

I suspect the extra page will recreate the last frame from this page, but with Kat sitting alone, looking out at the Starlit Ocean muttering 'Omega...'.

Running like there's a 200 dollar cafe bill on the table and she left her wallet at home.
Getting on out of there like a COVID lockdown got announced starting in 1 hour and she just remembered there's no toilet paper in the house.
Flying the coop like a hen who just heard that dinner tonight is Chicken Pie.

I mean leaving the BFF without any immediate emotional support is kinda terrible thing to do

Kat being able to switch back and forth between techno eyes and normal eyes is somehow much worse.

Kat's innocent face means she's totally going to turn round and be evil once Annie is out of view.

That talk is always rough. For the couple and anyone involved. Perhaps, Annie will simply wait outside for the moment, before returning for comfort. That's a reasonable thing to do.

So, when do the robots rise from their graves? Next chapter, I presume, since this one was an aside.
Nice of Kat to switch the black eyes off again, though.

Annie interrupts Kat, and we still aren't seeing any of her holograms, so they might still be something only Kat can see. We still see Kat's black eyes, but there's still no indication that they're diegetic; does Annie see Kat with black eyes or normal eyes? Kat doesn't seem upset by the interruption, though.
Annie says she must go and that Paz might want a word. Kat turns to talk to Paz, and her eyes return to normal, meaning she's focusing her attention on the non-techno world right now, I guess?
Paz, looking tense and apprehensive, begins what we know will be a difficult conversation, and END CHAPTER! We don't get to see this conversation, or Kat's immediate reaction to it. We'll probably see the aftereffects, though, because they'll likely be earthshaking. Or pocket-dimension-shaking.
But, um, Annie is leaving. She's not running out the door; she's walking slowly out, her head turned slightly back, meaning that she may not intend to go too far away. I think she's probably thinking about what Paz said – that with Paz leaving, Annie will have to be there for Kat and make sure she doesn't turn into an evil techno-demon. I mean, a good techno-angel would be better, but preferably she should stay Kat. But for now Annie is moving out of line of sight.
I find myself reassured by the appearance of that door; it grounds us in a location. Kat's still using the same warehouse-like laboratory space she's been using all this time, and although I don't think that's the exit to outside, it's still a familiar physical structure. Things have had pretty abstract backgrounds for a few days. I wasn't fully certain they were really back in the regular Court.

I'm hoping that the eye switch means "I turned off my Google Glasses Kat's Eye computer interface," but I can just imagine Kat switching from Echoing Demonic Voice to normal Kat voice.

It's wild to think that Paz and Kat first became "official" almost 10 years ago. They've been together longer than my husband and I have been dating.
The end of an era, pour one out for a couple who started off real cute, had a bumpy ride to get here, but who I still shipped wholeheartedly until Paz decided to call it quits for good reason.
...if anything happens to Parley and Smitty to make them break up, I'll riot. Quietly in my room, but still.
