Has Paz never talked to anyone about MechaKat?? That was like two years ago! After the clown affair, Paz has been a bit reticent about mentioning seeing things. (addendum: Come to think of it, have you ever 'fessed up to your role in that incident, Carver? Now would be a good time.) |

Character while surrounded by an unfathomable volume of machines doing inscrutable tasks for an unknown purpose based on technical advances cribbed from untrustworthy sources: 'I saw something' It would not hurt to be a little more specific, yes.  Aaaah i can't shake off the idea that Mecha Goddes Kat reminds me of a JoJo stand and i can somehow imagine that waaaay too clearly~ And S-13? Sometimes things and techs we don't understand really do look like magic. Good old Clarke's Third Law: «Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.» Of course, it has addenda, like Gehm’s corollary, or Ambrose’s corollary… Or Maxim 24. Has Paz never talked to anyone about MechaKat?? That was like two years ago! It would be weird to discuss with Kat, she wasn’t on good terms with Annie and no one else with whom she would want to discuss such things. |

Ooooh that's a blast from the past! The years pass by but the ideas remain. (Damn it took me too long to understand that our Robot IS S-13 hahaha) Also not sure about being indistinguishable from a big gun... but meeting with something that looks like magic to you will surely come with a blast! At least in some sense. |

Annie acting like she had no part in this is both fully in character and also the reason she's the worst. No part in what? Do you mean Kat's work in general, or her deciding she wanted a direct interface between her computer and her brain? If anything, we know that Annie's influence has put Kat on a kinder, less destructive path. It's not like Kat would decide to take baking as a hobby if she didn't have her around. I think basser refers to panel 5. Annie saying "This is the first time she's done something like this to herself." WELL, IT'S NOT AS IF ANYONE CURRENTLY PRESENT HELPED KAT DOING IT, HUH? |

Ability to very quickly manufacture complex small items, backed by a power source of unspecified output, but clearly sufficient to not be a bottleneck on what is being produced? With instant and hard to block delivery over a great area on top of that, no less? What is there to be not sure about? Schlock Mercenary have demonstrated how easily it’s weaponized: suddenly, a converging wave of 20 billion smart munitions. EDIT: for clarity. |
