I find Antimony's facial expression in panel #6 to be... inscrutable. I guess it is because what Paz said could be taken a few different ways at that point.

It feels like awkward bemusement at the idea she would see Kat the same way Paz does. There's never really been a hint that Annie or Kat want more than the platonic closeness they already share.

Annie going "oh you think she's yours, she changed time for me" "Oh you think you're jealous now, wait until you find out about the multiple violations of physics and causality."

This, and the fact that Annie did fear that Paz would take Kat from her (re: her reaction when she first found out they were an item). She's probably remembering that.

Maybe that plus relief that she doesn't have to convince Paz she's trying to take Kat away from her, plus an eye-roll because there's an implication that Paz isn't at all threatened by the prospect of Antimony as a romantic rival? Not that Antimony wants to be considered a threat but on some level it would be gratifying if Paz was a teeny bit threatened.

"I can admit to myself that you know her better than I do... SO WTF* IS GOING ON WITH HER ATM!?!??"
* Part of the fun is that I can't imagine Paz putting it quite like this, unless it was in Spanish.

Best time for a heart-to-heart is when you've been unexpectedly teleported into a magic computer on a quest to stuff your girlfriend's soul back into her meat suit.

Kinda a lot of information given/confirmed on this page.
Paz has previously apologized, but it was an incomplete/not a full apology because she was still insecure about her relationship with Kat and Kats with Annie's. In both cases I'd argue that insecurity comes from an understandable read of the situation, Kat clearly isnt sharing some of the important details of her life/work with Paz (previously issue), and Kats relationship with Annie speaks for itself. All this makes sense to me and it shuts down the arguments I've read about Paz being a villain or bad person. Paz is pretty blatantly just an insecure teen dating someone with communication issues whose best friend is a potential romantic rival.
Honestly Paz has handled this situation really well. In real life I've seen this end in unnecessary fights and inappropriately timed surprise declarations of love, almost always ending friendships. Helps that Annie isnt really interested in Kat and that Kats communication weaknesses aren't the manipulated, yell or say nothing at all type. Just a little oblivious to what may be worth sharing. I have a feeling this is a pretty big deal to Paz.

There's never really been a hint that Annie or Kat want more than the platonic closeness they already share. Also, close co-conspirator relationship. Is there a Greek word for that? Maybe that plus relief that she doesn't have to convince Paz she's trying to take Kat away from her, plus an eye-roll because there's an implication that Paz isn't at all threatened by the prospect of Antimony as a romantic rival? Heh.Best time for a heart-to-heart is when you've been unexpectedly teleported into a magic computer on a quest to stuff your girlfriend's soul back into her meat suit. (Flashback to BONELAZORZ.) And devised by Kat, at that.

You know, we never did find out who Annie's secret crush was. Did we? I think it was pretty clearly revealed during the incident with the enchanted teapot.

Helps that Annie isnt really interested in Kat Are we sure? We never got confirmation of whose Annie's secret crush is. Im sure, but thats based on my read of the situation and generalizing story structure not anything confirmed in comic. I feel strongly that Annie and Kat have a type of friendship where, if Annie did have a crush on Kat, red faced and embarrassed would not be the reaction to it being brought up, nor would she casually dismiss it when brought up in passing by Paz.

Well the only alternatives we were shown, in the dream that Zimmy entered, were Jonesy and the green teen love machine. I'm still not 100% sure we can't rule out Kat but Jonesy seems more likely somehow. If nothing else, they had similar levels of emotional capability at that time.

The possibility that it's not anyone and was added because it would cause a stir and is never touched on again is a joke, sure. At the same time, I also really want to believe that is the kind of thing Tom would do.

My usual explain-the-page post, written before reading what anyone else has said about it, but this time I'm playing catchup and have another page to do. After Paz chooses this moment to make an apology, Annie wonders what she's apologizing for. It turns out that Paz is apologizing for how she's treated Annie in the past. You know, things like this and this. Annie says it's unnecessary, as Paz has already apologized. But Paz admits that her apologies weren't enough – and that they weren't always honest ones, meaning that she wasn't really sorry, I assume. She admits to feeling jealous of Annie's closeness with Kat, not because she thought Annie would take her away but because Annie knew Kat better. All this as they're standing there waiting for Kat to find a speaker closer to the area she wants them to go to, so she can guide them there. My, this is taking a long time, considering the speed of electronics/computers. I have to wonder whether Kat's listening in and deliberately giving them this time to work things out between them.
