Paz should probably stay and take care of Kat's body while Annie gets talked through the tech stuff so as not to leave Kat defenceless, but will common sense prevail? Common sense did not prevail.

So does Tom's comment lay to rest the theory that Kat is manifesting electronics out of nowhere? She just has a lot of random speakers lying around, I think Tom just wanted to draw lots of different electronic devices.

So Kat’s computer isn’t in the server room. Huh.
”So when we repurposed the server closet as a bedroom, we left all the old equipment because the blinking lights are so soothing.”

I’m starting to wonder whether Kat already fixed the problem on her own and now just tries to pull the same “Dungeon of Befriending” trick as with AnnieⒻ + AnnieⒸ earlier. And maybe get back at Annie for the whole Mad Fairy Uprising thing. A little. :] Paz should probably stay and take care of Kat's body while Annie gets talked through the tech stuff so as not to leave Kat defenceless, but will common sense prevail? Common sense did not prevail. It’s not a chapter where common sense prevails. Until the bonus page.

I would've reached out to Renard to stand guard, if only to avoid the extremely distressing possibility of Kat's digital proxy reacting to an intruder – à la, trying to "confront" an intruder via Ring camera while you're on vacation.
Then again, seeing Kat's dormant, empty body could've been hitting a bit too close to home for Renard not to narc.

Kat, technocrat that she is, already referring to her body as "it", as in just another piece of hard wetware.
Eventually she'll do the classic Lawnmower Man offer to Paz, to rule beside her as queen-consort of cyberspace, when Kat gets the bright idea of constructing her own Cyber Ether, with blackjack and hookers.
And then I'll finally have proof that Siddell is/was a big fan of Mage: The Ascension.

Can I just say, I'm loving these last few pages? I agree that how we got here felt a bit weird, with Annie and Paz making a bunch of faces but not really saying anything; but now that Kat has actually Gone Too Far, the interplay between her "Oh, whoops, no big deal" attitude and the other two's concerned exasperation is really funny to me.

The number of speakers lying around Kat's lab is rather impressive. Maybe she likes her tunes. Having told Annie and Paz that they're going to have to get to her computer and reset it, she goes on to say that it's hard to reach, but she can help them with the access restrictions. Someone (perhaps Paz, from the color?) asks Kat what to do about her comatose body, and Kat attempts humor, which neither Annie nor Paz are in a mood to appreciate at the moment. But Kat does have a folding bed in her server room, spoken like a true sysadmin. Paz and Annie get Kat all tucked in, look worriedly at each other, and set off on the mission, I suppose.
We haven't seen Annie and Paz collaborating on anything ... ever, I think. It makes it slightly heartwarming, really, to see them with almost identical expressions on their faces again here, like a few pages ago. They both care about Kat, and Kat doesn't seem to be taking their feelings into account (maybe not having a body has something to do with that, or maybe Kat's just always like that during out-of-body experiences). What opposition will our heroes face during this arduous quest?

I cannot imagine Kat using the ether to protect her computer. It's probably somewhere in meatspace, surrounded by puzzles and/or traps. Possibly dangerous traps?
It also pretty much has to be within the court. The original bounds of the court, before recent events with the forest and such.
Further, she moved it before she made her discoveries about the mutable building blocks that all of the buildings and windows and trees and dirt and all are made of, so she almost had to use more classic technology.
I suppose there is an outside chance that she used the arrow... It just seems out of character to use it for a problem that could be solved using engineering principles (hide and protect physical computer). My cookies are on "hidden in a tunnel, protected by traps and puzzles and maybe special Kat-created robots".

Maybe with robots enemies instead of monsters? Edit: OH, possibly with a necessary co-operative aspect.

I'm starting to spaz a little about how many characters get separated from their bodies literally or figuratively.
All the robots Annie (at least twice what with the fire and also her 'twin', but generally can do it at will) Anyone in Zimmyverse especially Zimmy Renard Mort* (I realize he was a ghost but now he's fully dead so there's levels of dead) Tony (figurative but also with his whole grieving bender?) Anyone under the Fairy mind spell Now Kat...
I get that this is an extra-dualistic universe but wow Tom like there's so much dissociation in this comic. Hugs for you, unless you just really like this as a plot point.

I'm not so sure of that, only because I figure Kat normally goes there by herself. Either she created all we are about to see herself or with the help of robots/golems/NP.
That being said, if Annie and Paz don't cooperate, things could go badly. I just doubt that 2 or more people are required to get to the computer. Kat just doesn't trust very many people.

Has she needed to go back there since its relocation though? These are the two people she trusts the most, after all, She could easily have set it up so only someone with her knowledge of it and some help could have made it through.

At least for occasional maintenance she should be able to go there herself.

If Kat isn't actually in any danger and deliberately set this up as a bonding experience for Annie and Paz, that would qualify as "going too far," in my opinion.
