Lana asking the typical new-couple questions, but also reassuring mode, setting Jerrek's head straight about his two former halves.

I'm glad she doesn't seem to be going into clingy jealous girl territory. "Oh you're still drawn to annie? Well you're partly made of ysengrin so yeah, that tracks." I wonder how much she and the other new people have been told about...everything. more importantly, how are they told and how is it skewed, especially now that they have the ability to cross-reference information and have opinions and feelings.

Despite my thoughts on Loup, good on Lana. I can only imagine Loup needed to here that from someone. Annie has always been "Don't talk bad about Ysengrin/Coyote". Lana is more "They're a part of you. Don't talk bad about yourself." The sentiments are similar, but fundamentally different.

Jerrek just said that he had something to do that brought the mood down, but he didn't say what. Now Lana continues by mentioning Annie. So he still has something to do that involves Annie, and he's told Lana about it.
Lana's jealousy issues come up again here, although when Jerrek tries to blame his feelings about Annie on Ysengrin, and on Coyote to some extent, Lana is having none of it, because they're both part of him now, and she loves him (or thinks she does, anyway).
And Jerrek says that he still likes Annie, but as "something else." Not as a girlfriend, but as someone he's drawn to. By Destiny, because Destiny has decreed that they will face each other in a final showdown ... the way I talk about it, it sounds like a manga that can't decide whether it's shounen or shoujo.

Uh oh, there's a new medium in town. Also, she's not very big and only Jerrek currently knows where she is. So she's a small medium at large.

the arc is a fever dream and I love it, Tom swerved the shit out of everyone with this storyline I'm glad you liked it! Personally, this whole arc with Lana hasn't exactly been to my tastes...I've been thinking about taking a break from the comic for a while, but sheer force of habit and my love for this forum has kept me coming back for the regular updates.
I'm not a hundred precent sure whether Loup's "as something else" comment means he likes Annie romantically, unlike Coyote and Ysengrin, or if his interest in her is non-romantic, unlike his interest in Lana. Or maybe a bit of both, he like Annie non-romantically in a way which is different from either Ysengrin or Coyote's love for her. I think I like all three of those options, though, so I approve of this development regardless.

I am reminded of Jack, Jenny and Zimmy. There a male also was honest about having feelings for someone who's not his girlfriend, and the girlfriend seemed accepting of this fact. Also, she's not very big and only Jerrek currently knows where she is. So she's a small medium at large. One of these two fools is going to end up trying to fool the other fool, I just haven't figured out which fool yet.

So Tom has informed us that Jerrek has filled in Lana on who he is and how he came to be. I wonder if it was detailed to the point of explaining that he killed Coyote? Hmmm. Also, hilarious that even Lana won't let him get away with talking shit about Ysengrin! Wonder what it means that he is still drawn to Annie? I assume this is part of Coyote's plan in some way. Makes me wonder if maybe his desire to make her love him or whatever is actually just a result of him feeling drawn to her but not knowing how to parse emotions.

Unlike everybody else I actually like the direction the plot is going to.I am a sucker for romance. I am only afraid this is a repeat of the Suma-Reynard situation and the court is manipulating Loup with the help of Lana

Don't talk bad about yourself." The sentiments are similar, but fundamentally different. The are indeed different - yet related - sentiments. As I read Lana's statement I could not help but recall what Coyote said to Loup in one of their last encounters. It seems that though Coyote mocked and manipulated Ys, he also valued him. Annie certainly loved him. And now another voice bids Loup to pay attention to that part of himself. I will be interested to see what part Ys still has to play.

I am only afraid this is a repeat of the Suma-Reynard situation and the court is manipulating Loup with the help of Lana I strongly doubt the Court is in the driver's seat this time, let alone aware Loup is one of the New People (excepting those loyal few in on the secret of the NP's existence at all). But what a great insight about Surma and Reynard.

I am only afraid this is a repeat of the Suma-Reynard situation and the court is manipulating Loup with the help of Lana I'm a fan of this plot line because its really neat when romance is used so effectively to build tension and plot related suspense, rather then to just be romance. I'm dying to know what comes because of this relationship, how much has it changed Loup and potentially the course of the new people society. It's already made the light from the star ocean less dangerous to Loup, that has to mean somthing.
