Loup: what comes next Lana: a marriage and a baby carriage?

Is Lana going to become Loup's partner in shenanigans so they can finish whatever he needs to do and they can live happily ever after?

It's a good thing she's a nice girl, because in the hands of a more selfish person, a lovesick amoral god offering reality-altering wishes could go very sideways very quickly.

Perhaps, this was just momentary light high-jinks, before some really heavy story development. This could be Tom's attempt at softening our hearts, before shredding them.

Jerrek and Lana are talking about what to do now. Although Lana's aware that the others will be wondering about them, Jerrek seems unconcerned about that. Lana doesn't want fancy presents, but she does know that there are things that he needs to do. He seems sad to be reminded of that.
Now, ever since Loup assumed the Jerrek disguise, he's had to step in now and then to keep Jerrek on track. "Idiot! Stop this!" It's as if he's created an alternate personality. But now it seems as if the alternate personality has become dominant. Is this because of the star ocean? Perhaps it's weakened Loup by draining off some of his strength.
What exactly does he need to do?

Page 2706. That's twice as much as 1353. The last page of the chapter "See ya!" where Mort found his final rest. Mort has officially been out of the comic longer than he has been in it.

Mmmhh, I'd like a slice of the world to go, please. With a Coke, of course. "Around the Corner from Everywhere". "Thirst Asks Nothing More". "It's the Real Thing". "Coke Adds Life". All very... pertinent 😁

It will 3560 and 3610 before we can say the same of Jeanne*, and Red & Aliyu respectively. That's in about three more volumes, or six years. However, Jack's 'point of no return' will be much closer: 2894, or about 6-7 chapters. Basil and Reuben are long gone. * We read, and she did nothing.

With apologies to Modern English, anyone with a sense of meter, and all readers of this forum:
Moving forward threat'ning all with death Kissing your face was never second best I caused the court to crash in ways quite uncanny Never knowing the real power was always Kat and Annie
I'll stop the Court and melt with you You've seen my difference But I'm getting better all the time There's nothing you and I won't do I'll stop the Court and melt with you

What does he have to do, really? Figure out what Coyote wanted him to learn, so he can die? I'd humbly suggest he might be better off just not doing that, and instead hanging out with his new girlfriend. Or maybe find a way for the both of them to leave the court - maybe go to Earth or something.
