The thumbnail shows two shadowy figures walking along what seems to be a corridor in a Court building to me. One appears to be at least one head taller than the other. Thoughts who it could be? Zimmy and Gamma, looks like. The taller one has light brown hair. (actually, that may be me seeing things - blowing it up looks somewhat grey. Still my guess, though the body shape isn't quite right. Could be Robot and Shadow) Someone was right on the money here. |

They turn the corner, and see a band of multiple Loups singing a rendition of "That's The Power Of Love". His cover band is called Hewy Loupis and the Loups. Lana is wearing a band t-shirt.

We see a cityscape, then we focus in on a few buildings from above, then we see an alley between two buildings, with two figures standing or walking in it, long shadows trailing behind them as if a light source is ahead. It's the chapter thumbnail! And it turns out to be Zimmy and Gamma.
Zimmy stops, seemingly having sensed something. Gamma looks surprised/worried/concerned as Zimmy scowls at us AAA NO ZIMMY IT WASN'T ME I SWEAR
Zimmy says (or perhaps thinks), "Something changed." But what exactly does this mean? What exactly has changed? It might be Loup's explosion of hearts. It might be the star ocean – what if the last bunch of humans has made the transition and they've shut the star ocean down? But that seemed far off last time we heard about it. Or it could easily be something else that we don't know about.

In the webcomic Wapsi Square there is a young lady, genetically and magically engineered by a group who probably were lucky enough to not live to see what they had created... (On occasion in the past there have been individuals less fortunate.)
In one scene, to make a point to some of her high-school friends, this young lady casually opened a gateway to the realm of Cthulhu... who, upon seeing who had made that gateway, ran and hid.
I could see Zimmy meeting Loup to similar effect.

Possibilities:
2. Zimms is reacting to Lana & Loup's epic cover of Janis Joplin's Piece of My Heart 3. What has changed is Loup's new-found desire to be an NP, and the "death" that Coyote predicted for him is that Annie will somehow release him to complete that transition. And for Zimmy, that lowers the negative effect of the ether on her (her facial expressions in panels 5-7 do not seem negative?)

Most likely it's the closure of the Star Ocean, but you never know in this comic. They're probably setting it up for the mass transit, rather than the small scale trips that have been carried out so far. |

Renard was petrified by what Zimmy can do. I'm really looking forward to seeing Loup's reaction to meeting her. A couple possibilities: 1. Loup and Lana in Zimmyland! 2. Fight, followed by making up and team-up Zimmy is way more insightful than most assume. Look at how she helped Annie. I'm not sure this will go directly to battle. It could, of course - Annie is a friend and I vaguely remember Zimmy saying something not entirely positive about Loup a while back. A little research reveals: Confirmation that Zimmy is aware of Loup may be found here and here - clearly a link or at least a sense of him is shown.
Renard and Zimmy talk about Loup here and on the following page. Confirmation that he is really focused on what the court is doing, which we knew, and that Zimmy can sense him and what he's up to, which we did NOT know previously.
Now, something has changed. Seems likely to be a change in Loup due to the love confession of Lana. But what will this lead to?  |

Zimmy, unless I'm mistaken, is the only example of the ether being truly dangerous in an uncontrollable way, without messing/someone meddling with it, unless im forgeting somthing. In fact the court working with Zimmy is the only reason her situation hasnt caused massive problems. I stand by suspecting Zims as the real reason the court wants to opt out of magic, and we may see why soon.
