Not surprising that etheric enabled people didn't get an invite to the meeting. A bit surprising that the stronger security peeps didn't even know about the meeting.

Parley isn't surprising, she can teleport and all that, but I didn't think Eglamore had any special powers beyond the runes on his body.

They're about to get turfed out of a job, so they'd probably want to keep them out of the loop for as long as possible until it's too late. Eggs, Parley and Annie are probably the three most capable combatants there, and a whole heap of others would stand with them at being left out. Not something the Court would want to deal with if it could be helped.

Completely according to plan that Renard's acting so cowed and submissive. Tucking that tail he doesn't have, flattening those ears that aren't. That's one disembodied spirit who's learned his lesson!

I know it won't happen, but just imagine Loup crashing the Court meeting like an extremely dysregulated Maleficent.
It'd be quite the contrast from the last time the Forest showed up to Bag of Bones Llewellyn's proceedings; of course, back then Coyote and Ysengrin weren't a 2-for-1.

The beard keeps getting thicker with every chapter. Soon it will be time to unleash the true power of facial hair.

Party crashed in: <200 seconds. Considering the levels of love and trust toward the inner circle Eglamore privately expressed earlier. Also, everyone is already upset.

It seems more connected to the problems with Loup than the problems with the Court.

Welcome to the possible Ether battery pool? Paraletariat? If they're feeling left out, there might be a counter-party that they could attend. I imagine Chester students throw banger parties.

Maybe he has hidden powers, like the ability to instantly remove his shirt? To summon beer? To quickly grow facial hair?
Not everyone with powers necessarily gets something cool. Maybe he can just make things smell like cheese.

I have a feeling next page will be a cut to the aforementioned meeting. I still maintain my pet theory that the court is leading Kat into a trap.

What a laugh would it be that all this meeting is orchestrated by Coyote, that long time infiltrated the Court, so he can isolate the non-etheric humans in a bag.

Just wanted to point out that Tom's handling of Renard's body language on this page is spot on for a dog or a fox.
In the first panel, Renard is anxious and fearful, and in the second, has scaled back to just nervousness. In a few moments he's successfully controlled his emotions (in a way that an animal cannot) and is consciously allowing himself to be comforted by the presence of his friends ("pack") and focusing on the importance of dealing with the matter at hand, though his body is still not in a fully confident "tall" position (because, though he's mastered himself, he's still sad).
This is a picture of battlefield courage.

A thought I had about the notion we considered that the Court intended the meeting to be actually a "draft" of all the non-etheric membes, like Kat, who will be carried off to the new location regardless of their wishes. I wonder if the Court really would try carrying something like that out, though. The leadership wouldn't have any moral issue, obviously, based on its past record - but it ought to occur to them that it wouldn't be prudent (and they/re no fools).
Make the bulk of the people at the new Court abductees, carried off without being given any say in the matter, separated against their wishes from friends and family, and you'll have a very unenthusiastic work force. How good a job would Kat carry out, for example, under those circumstances? I think the Court would have to recognize that, and seek volunteers rather than conscripts.
More likely, they'll go for filling them with excitement over all the great discoveries that'll be made in the new location, all the great breakthroughs and progress, complete with the kind of thrilling rhetoric straight out of Milton's Satan (except directed towards scientific endeavor rather than rebellion), to make Kat and the rest want to join them, and see being separated from everyone etheric whom they cared about as a small price to pay (maybe even saying about it "It was worth it") to achieve great things. (And we've seen earlier in this chapter that Kat, despite herself, is feeling tempted - and Annie and Reynardine's attempts to talk her out of it might have unintentionally nudged her further in that direction.)
