Loup plays the Uno reverse card. Let's see if Annie and co can hit him with a +4!

I think what's happening in panel #4 is that Antimony and Renard are exchanging a look over the bit George said about "Loup's finally shown himself" because they didn't tell George that they'd seen "Loup" more recently than George thinks.
Am not surprised this isn't a trick by the Court to rope Antimony and Renard into serving was waitstaff for the meeting, but am disappoint.

I feel like this could go one of two ways (assuming our assumptions about the Court pulling a surprise departure are correct):
Loup keeps Annie and Renard distracted long enough that they come back to discover that Kat and the others who went to the meeting are gone, or just too late to do something about it.
OR: They're somehow tipped off while dealing with Loup that something is going down, and his confused feelings from inhabiting the role of Jerrek lead him to helping them stop it.

Is it really Loup, or an avatar/projection of him? Or is this all a ploy from the Court to keep Annie and Renard busy and away so they don't interfere with the meeting (or worse!)? Find the answer this Monday on the next episode of...

That was a rather cagey response, Ms. Carver.
What are you thinking?

Pretty far out, huh? How convenient... for the Court. Let me put...hmm... ten quatloos on the Court turning out to having been very much aware of both the NP project and the Scooby Gang's attempts at capturing Loup themselves.

That would be insidious. I first read this as Parley saying, Loup was seen moving away from the robot dig site. The sight of flames had me worried, that Rey and Annie would bip upon a "disassembled" Lana.

Find the answer this Monday on the next episode of... Im puzzling here about what JerrLoups motivation(s) are at this point. It seems he went undercover to find out about the Omega threat, and potentially stop it. But with the Court moving far away, are they still a threat to him? Possibly yes, if no matter where Omega is, it damages the Ether. In fact, if Omega is leaving, that may accelerate his plans to stop it. I would think that would make him want to get a look at this meeting, to see what it was about and sniff out Court plans. I don't see why he would want to mess about distracting Rey and Annie, unless he wanted to be sure they weren't at the meeting. Why? Maybe he plans to possibly nuke the meeting (depending on what he learns there) and smash Omega then and there, and he doesn't want Annie and Rey as collateral damage. The Jerrek side of JerrLoup especially doesnt want this! This might be one possible scenario for how this plays out....

both excellent points. Either Ys was slightly unclear on who was going (you actually meaning the select Court, rather than Annie), or the Court wants Annie for some special reason, in spite of her Etheric nature. Why Annie? It would seem her Etheric "attractiveness" would be exactly what they wouldn't want, since the move was supposed to get the Court far away and protected from the Ether. Unless its something creepy like what I will put shortly in wildspec... basic idea being that they want Annie to be bait. And Loup taking things seriously would match up with my comment above... he's planning to smash Omega before the move.

When did Parley learn about the robot dig sites?

When did Parley learn about the robot dig sites? She probably knew the whole time, as part of the gang. It wasn't shown in comic if you're asking, but that doesn't mean she can't have know or that it's a Loup trick. Doesn't rule Loup out, but we haven't seen Loup shape shift into known people. Which doesn't mean he can't, but I don't think this is ParleyLoup.

I think this is a ploy by the court to get Annie and Renard out of the way so they can move the humans they want to the new location without risk of interference. Hard to say if Parley is in on the plan... She might go along with it if they claim no harm will be done to those two.
It could be a plan to get get rid of them, get them far away and then abandon them, but I don't think Parley would go along with that, and her range is somewhat limited. So at best she'd have to do it in hops.

So… is this the inner circle distracting Parley and Annie from shenanigans, or Loup distracting Parley & Eglamore (superfluously) from messing with those shenanigans?

And so, the chapter titled "Snare" continues on, toward danger and with nothing yet ensnared. I'm sure it's fine.

Possible, but for me this seems like Loup doing something and the defense team doing its job and fetching Annie. It could be a twist, but I'm gonna go with the safe bet on this one.
