She is handling it way better than past "romantic" interactions. No more "shoving the blinkerstone back in Mort's face" or "making up an entire party just to trick Hyland". Good on you, Carver! Edit: I just realized, why does Annie say she has to go? It sounds to me like she's has someone/-thing reminding her she's late for an appointement, but she's looking past Reynardine in the first panel. So I wonder, is she seeing something in the ether, or did a psychopomp come up to alert her of something?

Does Renard's change of ownership contract status mean that he will not be silent for the next few pages until Annie remembers to tell him he may speak again? 😁
Seriously though, yeah, she is flattered, but no grounds for shipping, yet.

And he was never seen again. Piter doesn't work on Fleet Street, does he?

Oh, no, no, that's the precise eye direction for someone reminding themselves of an emotionally important commitment. Google "NLP eye direction chart" and you'll see what I mean. I figured Tom would be clever enough to use body language this way; he is a devil with the details, heh 😹

I don't need Annie romance but it's nice to see her being a kind mentor / friend to someone who is just getting used to a very new existence.

And that's it, he's bald now If it's not this or a exact duplication of Piters haircut, I'm gonna be sad.

It is by the shears of Sapho that heads acquire cuts, the cuts acquire balds, the balds become a warning
