He can't dig or move rubble because he forgot his shoes, so he has to be the organizer. He'd totally be getting his hands dirty if only he'd remembered his shoes. I may have to steal that one. [edit] By the way: sestra = sister [/edit]

"Sestra from another gospodine" doesn't exactly trip off the tongue, but the spirit is there

But did Tony stop for long enough to put his shoes on this time? Suspense, suspense.

he's really regretting not getting a drill installed instead of that new hand When Kat built it she probably convinced him that ROCKET PUNCH was more likely to be useful than a drill or other boring gadget.

I wonder if there's a meme culture in the Court? Have some people noticed Tony's shoelessness, and started posting "TFW chaos takes your shoes" to their version of message boards? Will he mistakenly start a shoeless trend?
I'm very concerned that Loup is MIA. He been lacking in self control, but considering that he thinks his life is on the line, he may be super focused. Focused enough to impersonate someone?

Aata and Shell refuse to answer any more of Annie's questions, for now at least. They've got no particular reason to keep anything secret anymore, but also no particular reason to tell Annie anything extra either. Maybe they would have said something if she'd pressed them further, but then there's a serendipitous BIP and Parley and Smitty are here. She needed Smitty to bip directly to wherever Annie was (or she may have gone to where Cvet was, I suppose), but I suspect that Smitty's ability also had something to do with the timing – I think there's more that could've come out in that conversation that probably shouldn't have, meaning that Annie could have let something slip. If she'd mentioned the word Omega, there would've been a lot about how she heard it and how much she knew.
Fist bump! Parley and Cvet are reunited. So there's an effort to dig down (or maybe sideways) into the tunnels and get everyone out, so eventually everyone will be freed. For now, Parley's offering to take small groups out in her way. And it seems the Forest wave almost reached where the Court is housing the Elves, which as we know is near where the Chester students are. Interesting that it stopped there.
And one more nugget of information: Tony is organizing this rescue effort. I think Annie's dad is desperate to find a way to show Annie he loves her since he's unable to tell her, and this is a way he's found. And I think Annie has realized that's what's going on. He's doing it for her. And she's touched. It's like the time she found an unsigned birthday card on her desk in her room and knew it was from him (an event I just made up, but I think it could happen).
Then there's what's not said: Parley isn't surprised that Annie's found Cvet or the Shadow Men. Did she already know, and if so, how? We know Parley and Cvet aren't linked in the way that Annie and Renard are, but perhaps they're linked in some way that led Parley to suspect that Annie and Cvet were near each other. Or perhaps the Shadow Men have communication of some kind with the Court that's still functioning, and they'd already reported that Carver was with them. Or Parley may have bipped to Cvet, and her "Hey!" was in surprise at seeing Annie there as well.

What good would come of trying to usurp the essence of a trickster god anyways? You'd probably just turn into said trickster god, or it'd be part of his overly circuitous plan to do... something.
Then again, it'd probably be naive to just leave a trickster god to their own devices too. Poor Buddha guy and younger student.

So like, if Tony is leading the effort, that means he's talking to more than one person at a time, right? Like lots of them? I wonder if he is in robot mode for this, like when he was teaching? Or if the emotions triggered by Annie being in danger have helped him break out of his cage?

I don't know for sure, of course, but suspect that they are only after his power, not his essence. Like the ether energy they were collecting from rain with the power stations. They basically want to charge a battery (a really big one, one would assume) with the power of Coyote, leaving the essence of Coyote... defanged? For lack of a better term. Or dead, of course.
You raise an interesting question though, even if I'm correct about that. Is Coyote just the sum of his powers? What happens if you take all the power away from an entity (god, at least in some sense) such as Coyote?
If Coyote experiences death, as he hopes to, where will his power go? With him? Into the ether pool, to help the world keep spinning? Or does it have to go into someone like Annie?
Crap. Wish I hadn't said "ether pool". Now, all I can think of is this.

Or if the emotions triggered by Annie being in danger have helped him break out of his cage? Absolutely robot mode. This man has had a professional career for twenty years. He can probably mask in whatever situation, even when his world is falling apart.
