Not really. But the page of Janet playing the flute got me thinking about who at GC would play what instrument.
I feel like Annie might play the oboe, and Kat the clarinet. Cello for Winsbury?

Bit of an odd topic, but it certainly caught my attention, being as I'm a musical freak. >_> Either way, I can see Annie playing a string instrument. Cello seems fairly apt. Although, if I had to give her a 'sound' (that is, if her personality were translated into music) it would probably be oboe, like you said.

Yup, wierd topic.
Reading your posts made an image pop into my head: all the of them in music class with their instruments, concentrating hard. Except for Zimmy, who's over in the corner ...dragging her fingernails across the blackboard. I can so picture Janet's face...

HAHAHAHA. I could totally see that. If I could do group shots, I'd draw it in a heartbeat.
I can just picture that evil little grin Zimmy has... XD

hahahah that would be great, until Janet snaps and goes for her with the flute. And yes, I suppose it is kind of a weird topic, but, as someone who is very very obsessed with music, it just kind of occured to me.... I can't see what Gamma would play however

I have the weirdest feeling that Winsbury would have an awesome singing voice.
Also: Gamma=violin. Somehow it just seems to work in my mind.

Reynardine would play the sax. Eglamore is all for the contrabass. With Robot on the piano they would be the baddest trio ever.

they would be the baddest trio everYes, yes they would. And the suicide fairies trying to squish each other, with a cymbal each.

While we're at it, we might as well put Doctor Disaster at the theremin. >.>

Sullivan's John is playing a lute, in the Art page.
I'd go with Annie playing cello, Kat playing clarinet, Janet playing either flute or recorder-ish instrument (feadóg, maybe), Willie singing, Gamma playing violin and Zimmy bored in the corner.

I could see Mr. Elgamore playing violin, or concert percussion. Gamma would be a pianist. Mr. Donlan on trombone
Funny, I see Kat with an accordion, or something similar.

When I saw the title of this thread, I had a vision of Reynardine indignantly making it clear that he is not going to sing and that there's no way that anybody is going to make him sing, not even if Annie threatens to lend him to Zimmy.

heheh I really like the idea of Winsbury having a great singing voice. It would be like a secret weapon to contrast his silliness...

Actually, I could see Zimmy doing lead vocals for some insane death metal band. Yeah. If that happened I think I'd become a groupie.

I can personally see Gamma playing something soft and quiet, since I tend to relate personalities to instruments. Bass clarinet, maybe? Or perhaps the harp? I like the idea of the harp.

I think harp's too....flighty for Gamma. Something deep and grounding. Bass clarinet, or timpany or something.

I thought the violin because it's such an emotional instrument, and she seems like the sort who can dampen extreme emotions through sheer shy sweetness. But then the harp was mentioned, and I could picture that too. Now with your really good point, I don't know what to think. She is a tough call.

You know...I actually wouldn't mind watching a Gunnekrigg Court musical. :/ But that's just me...

I would. I would, Oh God would I. To have them just start bursting into song? No, No, No, no. It would ruin it. Too campy, too comical, too melodramatic.
Now, I could see the students of GC putting on a musical in the comic. That would be cool.

Kat is scottish and the image of her on a set of Bag Pipes just keeps popping into my head so thats what I'll put her on. I would put Willie on Vocals, Eglamore on the double Bass, Janet on a fife, Sullivan's John on the lute, and Annie on a cello. Gamma seems to be a french horn. Zimmy seems to be a percussionist who can create the most amazing beats but can't match them up with anyone and anything except Gamma and occasionally Annie.

Now there's a metaphor for how her sight works. That might work. I like the rest, but...Gamma still doesn't seem right. French Horn's are too...brassy. Meh. I'm picky for her, I guess. Also, not sure how I missed this, but Myrani, theremins are awesome. Me and my friend want to build one and learn how to play it.

What is a Theremin?
And I don't really like gamma on French horn either I just can't come up with a better instrument. Maybe bassoon or that long tube instrument that I can't spell.

This is a theremin. Um...do you mean an oboe? A piccolo?

It's this synth instrument that you play by moving your hand between it's two wires. Or something like that. Just Google/Wiki it.And I don't really like gamma on French horn either I just can't come up with a better instrument. Maybe bassoon or that long tube instrument that I can't spell. Bassoon for the win.

Ohhhhh that. Nah....too Africa plains-y. Geez, i really am picky.
But I think I do like the bassoon idea in terms of sound.
What about Mort? Something high and screechy for scaryness facter. Maybe he can be really bad at the violin. That would be ridiculously cute. ;D

NO BAD VIOLINS. I had to sit next to one at my old school, it was torture. What was he whistling in that one page, before he tries to scare Kat? maybe something from that band?

Maybe if we ever get around to it I'll ask you for advice! Oh, fine. Though you do know that you wouldn't sit next to Mort, right? O.o He could be a whistler. Or harmonica!
