Coyote blaming the Court for Daniel's death seems... dishonest. Coyote tells the truth. Just... not *all* of it.

I wonder whether Coyote sees this as a parallel in more ways than one. Does he interpret this as the court has tricked Annie into trying to steal his power? That Loup is a mere detail just as his part in Renard's actions was a mere detail?
And if he does; does he not mind because he likes his Fire-Head Girl but also knows she is foolish just like he is clever, or will this come back to bite us later on?

Coyote tells the truth. Just... not *all* of it. "That would make for a boring story, don't you think?" Perhaps there is a council that has Aata and Llanwellyn on it, among others we don't know. (Or we may know them, but we don't know they're that high up – Tony, for example, though I doubt it.) Kat is part of it, and is a very high ranking member, as is Robot. Boxbot 1 and Robox are the Court's top leaders.

Does he interpret this as the court has tricked Annie into trying to steal his power? They did trick her into helping them steal his powers. They're definitely using her for exactly this purpose. I doubt Coyote ever thinks of his own actions as a mere details. Him obfuscating his own role in front of Annie isn't delusion, he knows perfectly well what he did was highly relevant, he's just not saying it. That doesn't change what the Court did of their own volition, mind. Bait only works if someone's hunting. I doubt he'd expect a teenager to thwart the Court all on her own, and he did leave a homicidal angry wolf in charge of the Forest. But even if Annie had been a much more active part of this whole thing, I think Coyote is too appreciative of a nice fun underhanded plot to be angry at her. If loyalty was a condition of his friendship, he would have appreciated Ysengrin's qualities much more and Renard's much less. On the contrary, too much loyalty he probably finds stupid and boring. Whereas a little backstabbing makes life more interesting. Besides, he's the biggest backstabber out there. He is using Annie too.

Coyote blaming the Court for Daniel's death seems... dishonest. Ah, as everyone knows, I am well-known for telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I am a trustworthy 'yote, eh? Instead, trust the smiling coyote. Just a little closer, come on...~

Im still curious he said "partially of his design"... so do we know who else was involved? I just wonder how much Jones is involved with prior events.

The way Coyote is talking it does seem like he's "out" - like he seems even more detached from the situation than he did when he was alive.
Given that he has been shown to be nearly omnipotent before, I feel like maybe he has the option of taking his life back from Loup but I also get the impression he doesn't have the intention of using it. I think this thing which was calling itself Coyote is bored of that and is ready to move on and not do that any more but like someone who has stopped posting on a forum or quit a social media site, occasionally dips back in to see how things are going with no intention of becoming a regular poster again.

Take a look at My posting history here, and I think you'll find that theory quite accurate I just check in when people are saying nice things about Me... Or when something goes horribly wrong for Loup so I can gloat.
