Facing your fears, overcoming them, and even offering to help. Renard as always is the upstanding guy.

Hmmm..... the best defense is a good offense, they say.... will the Annies and Renard join with Zimms & Gamma to reveal and subvert Omega?

Remember: it's okay to gaslight your non-English speaking partner for years as long as you love them.

Good on you, Rey.
I can't help but imagine Tam, having a full-blown existential crisis in the corner, being completely ignored. "Are we headed in the right or wrong direction, being in the Court? What makes me special here? What's my meaning in the this new place? I..."

He's come a long way from "she's a demon!" Also I was instantly reminded of this:

Renard's always had two sides, Shame Renard and Mature Renard, and typically which one you get depends on which form he's in – the mind is nothing but a plaything of the body, after all. It's as if the two of them are split here, though – Mature Renard is here talking to Zimmy and Gamma, and realizing that he's been wrong about Zims all along, while Shame Renard is in Zimmingham with the Annies and the tree kids. But it might not really be Shame Renard, the Annies, or the tree kids at all. It's like Zimmy, Gamma and Renard are reading that part of the comic with us. I just hope they don't all turn toward us on the next page and ask us, "What do you think ... Linda?" Is there something that the Annies and/or Renard can do to help Zimmy and Gamma? Or will there be something? I'm wondering what narrative direction Renard's last statement is going in. Is he inviting them to tell him something they need help with right now, or is he foreshadowing a future situation when they will need help – if, for example, the Court captures Gamma and Zimmy and separates them for reality-bending purposes. Or ... is he hinting that he and the Annies need Zimmy and Gamma's help right now, since they're all trapped within Zimmy's horrorshow at the moment?

So now we see the payoff for this and this. Those who speculated that those two pages were linked were correct. It looks like Zimmy got the word Omega from Loup's soliloquy.

Renard really came up in her head and said "Damn, you really live like this?" He's come a long way from "she's a demon!" Also I was instantly reminded of this: Aw, damn, you beat me to it. Someone PLEASE make a Renard meme in the format of this joke!

Which is pretty obvious to those reading while 2341 is the current page but may not be so to someone that reads this thread in a year or two. When Renard says, "I had no idea you lived like this", he's referring to "mostly in the ether", right? Or to the way Zimmy constantly has all these problems to deal with? Or something else? I'm wondering what melted his heart, other than finding out that Gamma is nice and not demonic and all.

enjoy this Renard development! I'm a sucker for a character changing their mind about another character or showing a more complex side to their opinions!

I'm wondering what melted his heart, other than finding out that Gamma is nice and not demonic and all. I suspect the tipping point might be the part where he finds out her current situation of being chased by random teens who beat her up and call her a demon is actually just her reliving an incident from her traumatic past...that, and/or the part where he learns that she's specifically reliving it because of all this guilt she feels for some horrible crime she committed in the past.
Renard can sure as heck relate to wallowing in guilt over his horrible crimes, but he's recently managed to really move past that, thanks to some excellent mature wisdom on his part and Annie's emotional support. Now he's watching this tiny child, about Annie's age, not only wallow in guilt over her horrible crimes, but actually physically manifest that guilt in order to beat the cr*p out of herself. And most importantly, Gamma is clearly treating all this as a NORMAL OCCURRENCE for Zimmy. That all makes for one hell of a wake-up call for this poor old fox.
