Shenanigans are in play. I wonder if one of the elf kids did something or if this is a natural consequence of Zimmingham.

Or, they are the elf kids. Or Zimmy is Rey, or it's all a trick and everyone was just Eglamore anyway.

I love Renard quite literally hiding behind Annie's skirt.

I wonder if the reason he hid behind C!Annie is that F!Annie had touched Zimmy moments before.

If this is all Zimmy's then it might mean the following: - Her birmingscape is a lot more potent than wisp illusions, - Zimmy's powers are capable of overriding the usual functions of god-like entities, if one considers Renard as a god.
The exception being the Torn Sea - either that was due to a lot of factors playing (rescue team entering from normality through a tear?) or Zim's under an immense amount of stress due to Gamma's absence and that might have changed the ecology, properties and intensity of the birmingscape.
Wonder if Annies' fire powers will be altered too...

So something that I haven't seen commented before but - I think this Zimmyham experience is going to be worse than the norm for one very pertinent reason. No Gamma. Gamma is not a nywhere near. As I understand Zimmy on the linked page - even if Gamma cannot flat out stop the ongoing event she does typically buffer the resulting issue. And while it's better at closer range - well see Annie's first time subbing for Gamma. Max effect is not the same as no effect. And we've never seen Gamma be this distant with Zimmy's power breakages. She's either been asleep but with Zimmy, in a library for extra defense (Dobranac, Gamma), with Zimmy and fully operational with the Zimmy shenangians happening anyway (Spring Heel Part 2), next to Zimmy in reality and so things were still not that out of control (Power Stations). Separated by some distance but not so much she couldn't appear in a hurry if needed (Divine) and the utter lunacy of Torn Sea which was not normal in the slightest between the Siphons outside and frankly Zimmy taking a good long while all things considered for everyone to hit Zimmyham (or the Level 6 mentioned by the Seraphs). The last of which the group moved extremely quickly to pair her and Gamma back together for obvious reasons. Gamma's location is unknown. She may not even have been drawn into this iteration of Zimmyham. In Dobranac, Gamma - Zimmy told Annie and the audience that when things get bad they change for real. We've seen this in Divine with Zimmy being literally thrown around and her stopping Annie's father. We also saw it with Torn Sea with how Zimmy and Gamma were still reunited and with the other students when Zimmyham came down. We also somewhat saw this with Spring Heel Jack in part. And Zimmy told us back in Power Stations that she was only alive due to Gamma. The above is probably a large part of why. And it looks like currently there is no Gamma to help Zimmy shut this mess down.

To follow what storyteller said: also there's the fact that there has been little or no weather of any kind. What if Zimmy can't get herself out? There's no devices to take out, either, and maybe no one they can contact on the 'outside'. If Annie can't use any of her powers, it might be an Inception situation or something akin to the Wisps event where they're in a dream or sleep state or subject to illusions beyond the typical Zimmy distortions. It'll be an interesting chapter, anyway.

I wonder if Gamma can voluntarily enter Zimmingham after the fact if she's been separated from Zimms... maybe this will be Gamma to the rescue....

I wonder if Gamma can voluntarily enter Zimmingham after the fact if she's been separated from Zimms... maybe this will be Gamma to the rescue.... If Gamma isn't in the distortion she wouldn't necessarily need to enter Zimmingham... She would just need to find Zimmy's bod in the real world which would probably be easier but may take more time from the Zimmingham perspective. Back in Ch. 19 nobody who wasn't in Zimmingham seemed to notice anything odd had happened so probably more time passed inside then outside it.

Back in Ch. 19 nobody who wasn't in Zimmingham seemed to notice anything odd had happened so probably more time passed inside then outside it. True. She could spend time trying to drag Zimms into the rain or dunk her into a nearby pond to get that soothing etherized-water effect. But she'd likely want to enter, since Zimmers is likely to look for her in the plush-toy pile (it being their "meet-up-if-lost" place), and without someone to GOP for her, Zimmy might get more and more agitated, making the distortion worse and worse. I wonder if Gamma could do both - be active on both the Zimm-distorted and real planes at once? Probably not... Good point about the time distortion; Zimmingham apparently distorts all 4 dimensions! I guess that might suggest that Gamma's best move is to enter Zimmingham, calm Zimmers, then exit with her (almost no time in real space having elapsed at the point) and get her to some ether water quick....

Given that 'Omega' seemed to occur to both Loup and Zimmy at the same time, I'm wondering if one or all those elf dudes were Loup's avatars.
How will this end? The power station has been dismantled, so there won't be any relief coming from there.
Nobodinagins... are both Fannie and Courtney real? Courtney's touching Rey, so they could be real, and/or Fannie.

Gamma may already be in Zimmingham. She may always be there.
