^^Don't forget to add the page link.
Kat knows what the go is here, send a bird to follow Annie down, rewind, go again.

Like madjack mentioned, please add the link to the page in your post! (also, it is Tic-Toc, not TikTok =D)
Now, let's talk about the comic itself. Kat seems to know what she is doing. Really waiting for how Kat will explain it to Annie in the next page

Thirding the request for posting the comic link. It makes future timetravellers (hello Kat!) their work much easier. Surprised seeing Kat's confidence. Past chapter and this one have kept her constantly off her feet, so I wonder what brought about this change.

Annies: "... there were many of them." Kat: "Yes, but we just need to wait and see..." [Annie is shoved by Robot] Kat: "... how many birds actually do turn up..." [Annie falls off bridge] Kat: "... so I know how many iterations I need to ..." [None do] Kat: "... Uh! Oh!" [Bird screeches as it burst into furious motion]

She can keep taking the same bird back to that moment after having it grab Annie the first time and carrying it down with the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc visits she's going to make after this.

You gave me dangerous foreknowledge of the future and created a temporal pair-o-sox!" smile? On a side note: she seem to have been possessed by Skuld, doesn't she?

Kat knows what's what.
Presumably Annie has told her the story of the Tic-Toc rescue, most likely many times over the years, so Kat was prepared for this.

It seems that Kat may already have the Tic-Toc programmed, with a Do/While loop. Is it weird that I'm a little disappointed, because we won't get to see Kat traumatized, by witnessing Annie's death repeatedly? I'm glad, but a little disappointed. Still betting on incoming Coyote.

I mean, once you solve the basic problem of "TIME TRAVEL IS IMPOSSIBLE" and re-calibrate your mind to "time travel is basically a video game on this controller", it becomes quite easy, you see!

Of course! Kat's perception of time may be linear but she doesn't need it when she can program an automated sequence that would execute regardless of the present outcome! She used the past to account for the future so that she would only need to press "play" in the present! Mystery solved!

I just realized that Tom kept with his habit of never using copy and paste (which led to a lot of speculation on the Annies because they weren't exactly identical) and redrew every scene of this time-window sequence, including Annie in her old drawing style.

It already broke that rule by having 6 birds to the rescue. Kat's perception of time is linear and she can't be at six times at once, so that implies she'll try six times until it's done. Next page: Annie: "But Kat, there were half a dozen of these birds coming to my rescue, not just one!" Skuld: "By the way, that button there is for multiplying your bird." I think I can claim a half cookie. Probably not a complete one, since Kat's face tells me she already knows how to multiply the bird.

So we've seen already a hint of the "self fulfilling prophecy" that is time travel in GKC when Anja tells Kat to direct young Anja and Don to the warehouse, and then "well that's the last we saw so I guess you can leave". My prediction for the falling scene is that Kat is controlling 1 tic-toc, and some (other people were saying 6 total?, so let's say 5) more tic-tocs appear. Kat isn't worried about only have 1 tic-toc because she knows she just needs to go back 5 more times to "replay" the scenario from the other 5 bird's perspectives.

I think I can claim a half cookie. Probably not a complete one, since Kat's face tells me she already knows how to multiply the bird. If it turn out that Kat has turned into a teenage Skuld, I think that's close enough to be worth a whole cookie. Now, is there anything in Norse mythology that depicts Skuld possessing someone or directing their actions by negating their free will (arguably the same thing), as in, being not only the goddess of future but also of destiny/fate? I think I'm reading too much into that smile but its likeness to the way Skuld smiles is concerning me

Annie in old drawing style seems odd when we have the younger norn being younger annie with current art style. Maybe the style chnage infers different annie huh

Also I guess the twist will be that the Kat we see atm has already been here before, only Annie wasnt aware, but much like in Primer, she had to rehearse all the original conversation before to ensure a similar time loop.
*cue astronaut meme*
Annie: "Wait, so you have been here before?" Kat: "Always have been" BLAM!

Yes, it looks as if Kat thinks she has this part figured out now. After all, her mom and the Norns have explained it to her enough that she's probably formed a theory about how this is going to go. Will her idea be borne out in practice? I guess we'll find out. But of course, how much time passes for the Tic-Toc between each loop? What if Kat has some difficulty sending it back to precisely the right moment and ends up visiting some interesting past eras? I'm still fascinated by how the time travel is developing.

She's a gifted programmer, she knows how to handle a simple loop. A stack overflow here would probably be a real bummer. Or how about integer overflow? Annie: Wait, you only have one bird--how are you going to get six? Kat: No problems, I'll just press the "increment_num_of_birds" button five times. Kat: [accidentally presses the "decrement" button five times instead] Kat: ... Shoot. Now there's 4294967292 birds.
