The downside is that you just KNOW everyone bothers Skuld with it when they have computer issues. You reset the WiFi ONE TIME several eons ago...

The Skuld in Ah! My Goddess! (Oh My Goddess!) is also a tech nut.
In a way she represents the promise of possibility that the future offers, with a life of wonder and discovery ahead, so it makes sense I guess.
Also, Kat may have shared her knowledge with the Norns in previous incarnations of the timeline.

If there are an infinite (or large) number of alternate timelines or other dimensions accessible through the ether then Kat should write an etheric tech app for price comparison so she can buy stuff online for the lowest possible price in any reality. She could really clean up if she made a cross-boundary shopping aggregation and fulfillment site assuming that the gods don't levy taxes.

Don't know if it is significant that Skuld is putting aside the young plant to work on the remote.

Skuld is probably into growing protein crystals as well.

It turns out the Omega Device is a cross-dimensional effort to push all the alternate timelines just slightly out of sync with each other so the Court(s) can all get rich with high frequency trading.

Man, having that ZAM feature whenever I accidentally left something at home would be so useful.

Only after looking at the page a second time I realized Brinnie is ZAMing both the tic-toc and the coffee table into the Norn's domain.

So, Urðr basically confirmed that their other encounters with Kat were (mostly) not different events in her timeline but the visit at different times. Since its usually about the Tic Tocs.
I do wonder what Kat brought when it was not a bird. Did she fall in love with a boy that turned into a ferret? Did one timeline get invaded by timetraveling mosquitoes that can suck your blood and then bite you? Did the Norns find it so funny when Kat actually brought a woman, that they sent Jones in all timelines?
And I notice that the Zam does reflect in Kat's and the Norns' hair, making them shine like Brinnie's hair always does. So that's her secret, she's actually always partially in a state of Zam, with one foot in another zamention.

I love the implication that Kat just "usually" has a mechanical bird with her when she drops by the Norns for a bit of temporal shenanigans. Not EVERY time, mind you.

Now I know why our TV will sometimes suddenly turn itself off spontaneously. Someday, Skuld gets hold of our remote.
Brinnie is still here, then. And it's confirmed that she can ZAM things other than herself, and without touching them. More evidence that she's behind Eglamore's beacons and emergency ZAMs.

Good thing Tony didn't hook up with Brinnie or she'd end up ZAMing his ass all over the place miss an anniversary? ZAM now you're in the middle of the tundra forget to take out the trash? ZAM welcome to the nearest landfill have 'matters to attend to'? you better believe that's a ZAMmin

Does that statement mean she just doesn't bring it with her sometimes (like this time)? Or does this mean that sometimes it's a real bird, not mechanical? Or does it mean that sometimes it's an RC car, helicopter drone, Boston Dynamics-style robot dog, etc.? *random brain synapse* Is the Tic-Toc the reason why the Court isn't too keen on having things fly above it? Either they don't like the Tic-Toc, or they don't want anything interfering with the Tic-Toc?

Everybody's talking about mechanical birds, Norns, different timelines and dimensions... but, won't someone think of the warranty?!

So they're just gonna make it possible for kat's bird to time travel? just like that That's kinda lame imo :/

So they're just gonna make it possible for kat's bird to time travel? just like that That's kinda lame imo :/ This reminds me of Parley and Jeanne, she started so sure that she would just get flattened by the ghost, meaning she would have to train a lot until she could feel ready for the fight. And then she left and came back with magical tattoos to patch her weaknesses. I was really disappointed. It got better on re reading though, surely because I wasn't expecting as much, but also because there was no webcomic time involved, so it was merely minutes instead of months of buildup.

Just wanted to say I love Skuld.
Panel 7: Skuld's adorable little face, and Skuld's adorable reaching arm Panel 8: Skuld's adorable barefooted tech tinkering
I'm imagining Kat watching her work, and going "No wait -- what are you -- wait a sec, what -- how did you just -- OH! I get it! -- no wait, I don't -- why would that even -- is this even going to work?"

Ah, so that's why there's multiple visits. Kat will not accept someone else doing her job, she'll want to know how it's done so she'll break the Tic-Toc multiple times trying to figure it out, then visit again pretending to be Kat from another timeline to get it fixed for a retry

Funny, I never read it as the tattoos patching any weaknesses, only as unlocking strengths that were present but normally not usable by humans. I mean, did we really expect Eglamore got all his abilities of jumping like a Final Fantasy Dragoon only through training?
Also, while Parley got a great boost of strength through the tattoos it was also clearly shown when she came back that she needed more training to properly control her now abilities. The strange thing was rather that she still said it was time to face Jeanne right after returning...

the tattoo for strength probaby just increase the cap of your normal limit and increase the speed to hit the cap, but you'd still need to train. the high jump is probably pure tattoo
